A short walk down the hillside to the lake you'll find the perfect spot to cast off, enjoy breakfast, or a swim on a hot day on the property's private dock and lake patio. This home is perfect for small families, a couples getaway, or a fishing trip. Only 25 minute to Radford University and 35 minutes to Virginia Tech, this is also a great spot to visit your collegiate loved one or make your football game weekend a bigger and better getaway!

Beautiful View
The view of the lake is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The manager was very quick to answer any questions I had. The only negative is the hill to the lake. Its not awful but if you have mobility issues it would be a problem. Over all we (dog included) loved this place.

Great time!
My husband and our two Pomeranians, Pixie and Pucci had a very peaceful stay! The house was nice and the lake was beautiful. We got to see a bunch of different creature's and a bunch of deer. The host responded quickly and was very helpful with anything we needed. Would stay again!

Claytor Lake Cottage
The cottage was fine, simple but enough. The only concern was the entry to the cottage from the parking spot, it was on a step hill with no walkway, steps or railing. There was no flat land anywhere on the property which made it difficult to walk especially for older people or people with limited mobility. Also, we could have used a few more channels on the TV.

The house was a very nice house. I would suggest adding steps in the front yard since the yard is so steep as well as adding steps from the house to the dock as the back yard is very steep. Our stay was great. Got there went to grocery store and never left again until we checked out.
