HOME FEATURES YOU'LL LOVE:

Our cabin features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, comfy living room, gas fireplace, open floor plan, and an oversized screened in back porch. Guests love the seclusion, large back yard, and surrounding mountain views.

+ The primary bedroom features rustic log furniture which includes a queen-size bed, two nightstands, full-sized closet, and chest of drawers.

+ The second bedroom includes a bunk bed with a full size bed on the bottom and twin on top.

+ Full size washer and dryer are located in the laundry closet. We've provided hypo-allergenic laundry detergent and dryer sheets for your convenience.

+ The fully stocked kitchen is ready for the home chef. It includes pots, pans, baking sheets, storage containers, silverware and glassware for 8 guests. Also, included are both a drip and Keurig coffee maker, toaster, waffle maker, and electric tea kettle.

+ Access is paved the entire way to the cabin. There is plenty of room for parking of 2-3 vehicles in the gravel driveway.

+ Located in the 3,400 acre Buck Mountain community. The community offers hiking trails, waterfalls, parks with picnic areas, stocked (catch & release) pond, summer and fall concerts, and miles of walkable roads perfect for morning strolls.

Awesome Hidden Gem!

We needed a place to stay for a wedding, so we decided to try our first Vrbo. We absolutely loved it and hope to return soon when we have more down time to enjoy the cabin. The waterfall was awesome! We loved discovering Buck Mountain!

This was a great place to go to enjoy nature and have a peaceful getaway - and it was very easy to get to. The screened in porch was awesome for sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors without bugs all over. Great place and highly recommend!

Cabin was clean and private Loved the water fall and Community Pond We traveled to Boone, West Jefferson and Wilkesboro for food and fun. Check out Ashe Cheese Factory in West Jefferson. We enjoyed our stay at Buck Mountain God was so good to give us a wonderful week with great weather.

Lovely & comfortable mountain cabin nestled among the trees!

We enjoyed three restful nights in this very clean, beautifully appointed and easily accessible cabin while attending MerleFest in nearby Wilkesboro. My only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to explore the surrounding area of Buck Mountain (we were there for the music after all), and highly recommend this place! The spacious screened porch was a special favorite: 19 species of birds identified (via Merlin app) on our first morning as we prepared to set out for the day.

Mountain Refresher

My husband wanted a weekend fishing trip and I agreed to accompany him, but with the understanding that I may hang at the cabin and read! This place was perfect! Better than the pictures and had everything we needed for a low key weekend. Buck Mountain is a beautiful community with lots of privacy as well as trails!

Terrific location

We absolutely loved this cabin in the woods! It reminded us of home, being that we're from the country. I do want to say that the drive up the mountain is very windy with steep drop offs. Be sure to follow the posted speed limit at all times. But the cabin and location are so worth it! The screened in front porch was our oasis every chance we got. The leaves were in fully so the distant view was hindered, but the peace and tranquility was amazing. Definitely recommend this cabin, especially if you're looking to get away from it all.

Perfect Cozy Cabin

We absolutely love this cabin. This is our second time staying here. The location is perfect. It is halfway between Boone and Wilksboro, so convenient to everything yet you can sit in peace on the back porch and watch the deer. The owners are super responsive. We requested a mirror after our last stay and showed up to a beautiful new mirror for this stay. Super accommodating!! The cabin itself is a perfect cabin in the woods. It is cozy with everything you need. We will definitely be back.
