We've stayed at the P Town Inn for years every July and I noticed some nice improvements: the lobby renovations and store front openings are a wonderful improvement. Many people told me they'd love to see a Starbucks or small coffee shop/kiosk in that area too, especially because the pool is so frequented by guests and visitors from the general public. I liked the addition of palm trees by the pool, which added to the ambiance, but the trees looked a little weathered and dried out, so it may help to keep up with them for next year so they look a bit more healthy. 1 of the corner bars was removed to make space for the new private cabanas (the cabanas look lovely) but I noticed it created more traffic and longer lines at the main bar and the opposite corner bar. Perhaps a makeshift bar could be brought back in the beach side entrance to help balance and shorten the customer lines? The rooms are mostly comfortable with some refresh changes: new head boards, area rugs under the beds, and better flooring, which was nice to see. The bathroom's could use a bit more shelving / storage areas, especially for groups of 3 or more, but the shower water pressure and temperature was working well. The staff were overall helpful and responsive - I was aware of the new $30/day "Resort Fee" that I would have to pay on site, but I also noticed an additional fee that I needed to pay on site that was just called "Fee" in the amount of $17.34. The staff could not explain what it was for.
