Cozy and comfortable for a family of 3-4. Check-in was easy. Had a cabin feel to it. Though it gets cold near the apostles, they had electric warm blankets and heater inside that helped. Overall, it was nice. Bummer that we only stayed 1 night and didn’t utilize it for a longer period.

I managed to arrive a week early for my booking, but the hosts were brilliant, took it in their stride, and managed to find us another cabin on the property with a smile, even though it had inconvenienced them. Great location, great hosts, quiet and comfortable

Amazing Cottage

It was a beautiful, quite and peaceful property with many facilities and on a great spot. We loved staying at the property and will consider booking again if we plan a around The Great Ocean Road again.

Fantastic base for 12 Apostles exploration

Sandi is an extraordinary hostess . The place is beautiful , spacious and quiet. She even helped us drop our car and drove us to the trailhead !

The rooms are exactly as pictured. It is a quaint spot. If you are visiting in colder temperatures below (12 C), it is not heated (or we couldn’t find a heater). The window was left open when we arrived (8 C), so it was very cold which made it difficult to enjoy the spot and to get a good nights sleep.

Our experience with the Clifton Beach Lodge was disappointing. We rented a cabin, which is part of a complex including a few more cabins, for three nights. Mostly based on the great reviews, we were expecting a charming cabin in the woods, with reasonably easy access to the sea. In fact, even though there are a few trees, the entire property is surrounded by farmland and quite isolated. So much that one needs a car to go everywhere (i.e., for shopping, hiking, relaxing on a beach, etc..). The cabin itself was small (but the others seem to be larger), a bit rundown, and with old (but functional) appliances. The cabin's interior looked like what one would expect from a low-cost motel: sufficiently clean and functional, but not a place one might want to stay for long. Overall, the place is probably ok as a resting stop in a longer trip. But it is really suited for somebody who likes to spend some time in quiet isolation to read a book or just chill out.

OK for a camp.

It was OK. Rustic look has an abandoned look and feel to it. Wasn’t sure we were at the right property, despite posted signs. Not a pretty property setting. My one major complaint was the overwhelming smell of bug spray that would not go away….and gave me a migraine. Opened windows, washed surfaces. Smell stayed. Several cans of bug spray were around the rooms and there is no telling where the repellent was used by previous lodgers. I, personally, use only natural ingredients in my home. Treating the outside of the lodge vs inside might work better(?). It is what works for me at my home. Not really what I was expecting and a bit overpriced. It did have everything we needed for a nights stay.

Cabins nahe bei den 12 Aposteln, aber doch weit weg von allem. Super schöne und mit viel Liebe eingerichtete Cabins. Eine Eigentümerin die sich kümmert. Was will man mehr? Wir sind uns jedoch sehr stabile Bauweisen gewohnt und hier wurde durch den festen Wind das einschlafen schwierig, da immer wieder viele Geräusche, die ungewohnt waren. Gerne wieder hier, aber nicht mehr in der vordesten Cabin.

Die Unterkunft ist einfach spitze! Sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die kleinen Details, wie z. B. ein frischer Blumenstrauß auf dem Tisch usw. Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Great Ozean Road zu sehen. Fast direkt bei den Zwölf Aposteln! Ich kann die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!
