La Grotta di Nima, Casa Vacanze dal Fascino Rustico tra Roccia, Legno e Mattoni
Ideal for groups of friends or families of 4 to 8 people. Spanning two levels, the house features a large open-concept living area with plenty of dining space, a beautiful fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a relaxation area with a sofa and TV, 4 bedrooms (4 double or 2 double/2 twin), and 2 bathrooms. There’s a small outdoor area, and the bar is just a short walk away. Fiber-optic Wi-Fi, a welcome basket, and a kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook, including oil, vinegar, salt, spices, sugar, coffee, tea, herbal teas, cleaning supplies, etc. Bed and bath linens are included, and in the bathrooms you’ll find toilet paper, soap, shower gel, a hair dryer, and adapters. We don’t have a washing machine, but there is a laundry room with a large sink, detergent, basins, a clothesline, an iron, and an ironing board. During the warmer months, the first floor stays very cool, and the upstairs bedrooms are equipped with fans, mosquito screens, and blackout curtains. We’re located in the heart of the village of Pretoro, in Abruzzo, in an area with convenient parking. Pets are allowed (one per stay) upon prior arrangement, but they are not permitted on beds or armchairs. From Pretoro, in just one day, you can hike up to the Blockhaus at an elevation of 2,000 meters to marvel at a breathtaking view of the sea, or, in just 30 minutes, head down to the coast and enjoy the wonderful Costa dei Trabocchi with its very long bike path and the scenic beauty you’ll find along the way. Starting from our village, you’ll have plenty to do and see within the Maiella National Park, now an UNESCO Geopark. Hike along the park’s beautiful trails, discover hermitages and abbeys nestled in nature, stroll through the villages, go on excursions to marvelous places accompanied by expert mid-mountain guides from Pretoro, visit the Wolf Wildlife Area, have fun at the Adventure Park, a canoe trip on the magnificent Tirino River (for adults, children, and four-legged friends), “muscle training” along the stairways of our narrow streets, followed by relaxation over a delicious lunch or dinner featuring traditional Abruzzo dishes. And in winter, you can go skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing in our ski areas—with an added bonus: a view of the sea! For all this and much more, we look forward to welcoming you to our vacation home, La grotta di NiMa, in Pretoro—one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages. Stays are for a minimum of 2 nights (3 during peak season) and a maximum of 14 days. Prices vary depending on the number of guests and the time of year.
