「When we got there we had to clear spider webs off the doors to open them up. (That should have been a clue) It was hot a stuffy in the house, but they left fans since there is no air conditioning (thank you). 「We took a last minute trip to the snow, and had never been to this area. Jim and Karen answered all of my questions (I had a lot) and they couldn’t have been nicer. They welcomed us by having a nice roaring fire going in the cabin. We had planned on going to Alta Sierra, and the tube park was closed. Turns out, there was no need to go at all. There is a small hill right next to the house, and a larger hill just down the road. We will probably take chains for the cars next time, just to be safe.」

「This property is absolutely beautiful. The river runs just below the area and the sound of the water is so nice and calming. They have coffee for the mornings which i truly appreciated! 2 seperate buildings for bathrooms and a separate space with showers (partially outside, rock floors and open roof! Also access to the river with steps made of large rocks. Everyone was helpful and friendly. 」

「This cabin stays very cozy and warm. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone! It unexpectedly snowed about 2 ft the night we arrived. We were completely snowed in and the owner generously arranged to have the snow plowed out of the driveway so we could get out. The roads are plowed often throughout the day. The owner stocks the place with firewood downstairs in the garage. And they provide what is available in the cabin, such as towels, shampoo conditioner, dish soap, paper towels, toilet...

「What an amazing experience! The Cabin is at the top of the mountain and over looks Lake Isabella.. We enjoyed the short drive to Sequoia's 100 Giants Trail. Also a relaxing day atvthe lake and the 3rd day the Kern River. I would recommend this Cabin to anyone!You have to check it out for yourself, picture can only do soo much justice! 「We needed a break from traffic and people. The cabin was amazing. We could see the stars, no light pollution, no noise pollution, just us and the outdoors. Every day we saw deer come up to the cabin and graze. We sat on the balcony and watched all ten of them graze right in front of us. The host was quick and responsive. The cabin is 15-20 minutes from kernville and 20-25 from lake Isabella township. It’s a great place and secluded while being close enough to venture into town on a whim. 」
