「It was clean and the staff offered to help with any bags or see us to our room. We stayed one night on our way through town. This is an old building. It was exactly what we expected and needed. If you want a new hotel this is not it. You will be disappointed. However, it is quiet, worn but clean, cozy, and very convenient at a very reasonable price.」

「Scenic, accommodating pets, homely feel, good views from room. Good downstairs rooms with National Trust like decor. Swimming pool & jacuzzi fab. Downside guest rooms dated but very comfortable beds. Needed a little dust. But didn’t spoil our stay. Would stay again. 」

「Although rurally located (this is Scotland) the cottages offer access within 45 mins to many differing attractions. We enjoyed the owners excellent advice on coastal trips, high hill ranges in national park, local walks with loch swims and secluded beaches. The local town of Newton Stewart is classical delightful. Highly recommend. Would’ve liked a separate shower or screen on bath and hot water controls good when mastered. Bed super comfy and fire pit fun. 」
