House much nicer in person than online ! Few things could be updated - basement beds were not comfortable and very dark rooms cooking supplies were not up to par especially for a large group Had a few issues however property management was very responsive

Big chill
Nice place to say but needs updates and cleaning up for the price you pay to stay there. Water access farther then description.
We had a Girls Weekend to gather and connect! Big Chill provided the space and location to do just that! Lots of rooms and beds, great parking and many areas for ladies to congregate and have fun! The kitchen was perfect to cook all our meals for 15 ladies. The pool was beautiful and so wonderful to have for those that didn’t want to go in the ocean. Everything we needed was provided. We are looking to return to Big Chill again and again!!! :)

Not as advertised/Very disappointed in our long awaited post COVID vacation
Booking, check in and check out were easy. Upon arrival, we walked into a dirty house. Food on the couches, dirty floors, counters and bath tubs. We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned ourselves. We also had 2 dirty comforters that were replaced by housekeeping. Housekeeping had a very unpleasant person answering the phones.
The fans in the living rooms and one of the rooms didn't work. No biggie, but maintenance did come out, but couldn't get them working. They need to bed replaced. The maintenance guy Jeff (I think) was helpful and friendly.
The decking/railing needs to be replaced badly. It is actually kind of unsafe especially if you have children. The doors leading to most of the decks don't shut or open easily either. Need to be replaced.
There are NO tv's in the rooms as advertised. I don't really watch tv on vaca, but I do like to fall asleep with one on.
The king/queen beds were nice and comfy. The bunk beds were horrific. I felt sorry for all the kids. These were like sleeping on the floor. The two bedrooms downstairs are probably never used. It was extremely hot down there so nobody could sleep comfortably down there. This house at best sleeps 12 semi comfortably (that's putting two people in the doubles and kings, excluding the bunk bed and downstairs rooms).
Only a ping pong table, no other gaming tables.
The pool......one of the main reasons we rented this house was for the pool area. We took 7 kids with us and they all love the pool so we could hang out at the beach during the day and pool at night. The pool was completely green, swampy with frogs jumping out when we arrived. After contacting the property manager Justin (nice guy), the problem was rectified and we did received a refund of 1600, but we paid 8900 so I still feel like it wasn't enough, but it was something, I guess. but we still only got to use the pool 2 out of 6 days. The landscaping around the pool was dirty, glasses in the bushes, broken toys, etc. Tiki bar in pool area was broken down. DO NOT step inside it unless you want tetanus. Deck furniture was torn apart and very rundown. Wouldn't even sit on it.
Bugs are OUT OF CONTROL, just bring bug spray.
Beach access is horrible too. You have to drive to it or walk 10 mins. Too much to carry to walk 10 mins. It's best to drive to Salinas park area and get to the beach there.
I wouldn't rent this property again until lots of updates are done. It could be a really nice place. It was decorated nicely.

Could use work
The beach house definitely has potential. The pool area needed to be cleaned. The bottom floor is incomplete with a mildew smell, no bathroom and no televisions in any of the bedrooms. There are only two televisions in the house and the remote didn’t work on the main floor. Mosquitoes were terrible outside and inside the house. There were dead mosquitoes on the wall. Trash and clothes were left from the previous stay. Cups and trash were on the balcony. We enjoyed ourselves overall but had to do a lot of cleaning ourselves.
The house was HUGE! The air hockey table is no longer there, but they have added 2 additional bathrooms on the ground floor level! We understand that the area is still recovering from the hurricane, so we understand the construction materials in the house, but made it feel a little off.
