Davo & Visnaya have a beautiful mountain retreat very close to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The rooms are comfortable as is the property with many nice outdoor sitting areas. There is also a wonderful spa with hot tub and sauna that is beautifully kept, and a wonderful respite after seem hiking. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I also recommend that you take your dinner there, as Visnaya is a great cook and is happy to meet your dietary needs. They also have a nice wine selection and a comfortable common space to relax inside if the weather is a bit cold to sit outside. Get up early to get a beautiful view of the mountains in the morning mist, and enjoy the sounds of the many birds. Likewise seeing the moon rise over the mountains is a site to behold from the back of the house.

Incredible. The owners made the most devious dinner for us - would highly recommend the 4 course meal. Best we had in Croatia by far. There isn’t a main check in area, just message the owner when you get there and they’ll come out. Very kind people.

What a gem this place is.

This place is amazing but what makes it really special is the lovely couple that own it. They make you feel so welcome and it feels like they are friends welcoming you into their home. The food is also amazing. Make sure you make dinner reservations and enjoy. You wont be disappointed.

We had a lovely stay at Tesla’s and we felt as though we were guests in their home instead of a hotel. They thought of every possible detail to make our stay comfortable, the food was excellent, and they were perfect hosts. We would definitely be regular customers if we weren’t 9K miles away!
