"Very convenient to Ringling School of Art and Design, which we were there for. The room was very clean. The AC had auto shut off which made it very hard to sleep as the room got very humid, and the pillows were beyond thin. We had to request an extra set of towels (three staying in the room) and got a snarky answer that the room would be cleaned, well, we didn’t have three on arrival, and the cleaner had already been by. So yes, my request for a third bath towel was reasonable. Our TV didn’t work. Found this out at 7:00 pm. Someone stopped by and said they didn’t know what was going on, maintenance had gone home for the day, they would talk to them the next day. Never heard back. Ended up watching shows on my phone. The beds were also very hard, even with no smoking there were burn holes in the comforter. We were supposed to be there for three nights. Ended up leaving at 6:00 pm of our last day, with a 17 hr drive home there was no way we were going to sleep comfortably enough to ensure a safe trip home. Ended up knocking out some hours of our trip and found a VERY comfortable and cool hotel in another town. While the hotel wasn’t “bad” it wouldn’t be my choice when we come back to Sarasota. If you are fairly close by and need an inexpensive place for a few days it’s doable, but if you need to ensure good rest for a long drive I wouldn’t recommend it. "

"This hotel does not meet what you would expect from a Marriot. Sheets were stained. Not ok. Floor was dirty from spilled drinks obviously from previous people staying there. Bathroom was short of lighting not good for shaving and or putting makeup on. Small thing but still not a good. We paid $42 for overnight parking tipped the valet $5 and was asked if we needed help with our luggage. Really? Not an overall good look for Marriot. "

"The staff member that was on staff - Saturday afternoon was VERY RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. Treated us like we were trash and talked to us with complete attitude about anything. I booked to pay at property..i receive a call at 1pm while traveling to Sarasota saying i needed to pay NOW. I generally book with one card and pay at property with a different card..never a problem when i select pay at property...she says they are busy and i need to pay so they dont cancel my room..i reiterated that i selected pay at property and its not 3pm which is check in time..she stated that because they are busy...i need to pay now...so because we have traveled 4 hours and didn't want to loose our room..i paid..upon arrival there was an additional $50 deposit required...that was not mentioned during her call...her explanation for questions asked...did not make sense to the question asked...it basically came to she wants money and i dont care about nothing else. One question I asked was..what happens if i hold reservation with one card but pay at property with another... she says they can change card number and run it..so i say but what happens with monies pulled off the card that was only to hold the reservation..she says you'll get your money back in 7-10 days... thats not cool..especially if i reserve to pay at property. I understand if was after check-in time but it was 1pm when she told me i needed to pay. And our tv didn't work The Sunday morning staff member was very pleasant. "
