"Fantastic Host and staff. I was able to stay in two different locations here. The beach access was awesome if you’re looking for something away from the public beaches. Those can be crowded on the weekends. Across the street are an Italian and Argentinian restaurant, both very good. You can rent a bike or motorcycle as well at a shop about a 100m down the road. For me it was the perfect location that wasn’t in the crowded towns but not too remote."

"This place did not disappoint. The host was very friendly and accommodating and the house was very relaxing to stay in. There is a lot more light in the main bedroom than the picture shows, and chairs to sit in on a patio off of that bedroom. It is tucked away and feels safe and is fairly quiet, but it’s just a straight shot to the beach, maybe a 4 min leisurely stroll away. We both found the bed to be comfortable also, and I like a more firm mattress and my husband likes a softer mattress so I guess it was just right. As for restaurants, there are a couple of places to eat close by or it’s just a short drive to other options, there are plenty around to choose from. The Gandoca-Manzanillo refuge is within a short walking distance also. If you want to stay in Manzanillo, I would definitely recommend this place!"

"Five stars for the overall experience, location, and especially the staff, even though the actual accommodation is quite basic. The main listing makes it sound like this is a whole house, but it’s actually two completely separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and no connecting door between the two, then the kitchen and seating areas are outside. (This is more obvious in the detailed description if you click through and read the whole thing, but could be clearer in the main description and photos - it worked fine for us but might be difficult if you’re travelling with children who are too young to be in their own separate suite). The seating area wasn’t the most comfortable and it would have been nice to have a safe for valuables, but other than that, no complaints - it’s not fancy but it’s great value for money, and very nice to have a kitchen and access to a pool! We saw toucans every day and enjoyed meeting the resident cats. The staff were fantastic and helped us out with a minor first aid issue and even with a communication issue we were having with our next hotel."
