From here, you could pootle from bay to bay, snorkelling in glittering turquoise water, or explore the pretty Venetian harbour of nearby Chania. The legendary pink sands of Elafonissi Beach (ranked among the world's fi nest) are also within striking distance. For those seeking more action, boat trips and watersports are readily available.
