"We had a great stay in the Hampton Inn Downtown Channel District. We stayed before and after a cruise and could not have been happier. The place was clean and beautiful and the staff was great! We took the shuttle to/from the cruise terminal and the driver (I'm so frustrated that I can't remember his name) was great! He gave us tips for spending the day in Tampa after we returned to the hotel following the cruise. The hotel was convenient to the terminal and there were many places to eat and walk around. We would happily cruise out of Tampa and use this hotel again. Our only negative was the traffic noise from cars racing up and down the road...but that's not a hotel issue. "

"The idea of everything automated and no staff seems like a good idea but misses the simple things an actual human may need. The only trash can in the room was the tiny bathroom one, though there was a full kitchen you could cook in. Late at night I dropped and broke a glass. There's no broom in the room. I texted in the morning and there was a response but they would charge $66 for housekeeping services. I had a six year old in the room. I had to put down pillows to section off the area that had glass to ensure my child didn't end up with glass in her foot. Or pay $66 for something to come with a broom. At least one staff member should be onsite. "

"We love this hotel. It was perfect for us. Because Bush gardens is next door I highly recommend we even stayed an extra the kids loved the pool. Buffet was great. Rooms were big"

"Stayed here for proximity to cruise port. It was fine. Rooms clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom tiny and shower pressure lousy. AC very loud and disruptive while sleeping as well as blackout curtains being too small and bright light outside our room lighting everything up. Breakfast was good with waffles yogurt toast/bread eggs but not enough seating and pretty small window they were serving. Took the shuttle ($10 PP) to cruise port and that was seamless. So would stay again if going on a cruise but not necessarily choose it for a general trip to Tampa. "

"This was a motel. The place is outdated and not very clean. There was a blood stain on one of our pillows. There were people standing outside for most the night & evening smoking weed. There is no smart tvs and the tv had like 10 channels. Yes this was a great deal from Expedia and close to the park, but you get what you pay for. "
