  • Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
    The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
    Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
    Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
    Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
    Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.

Fun Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at this property for a family spring break vacation. Overall it worked well for our family of 5. The location was great - pool right outside the building and a very short walk to the beach. We appreciated the amenities of the resort such as the Coconuts general store (although don't expect much selection) and the fitness center. The condition of the unit was good - not great. It was lightly updated at some point, but there are nicer units as far as updates. Overall, it had what we needed, and it worked well for our vacation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to Palm Island Resort since 1991. The island is as beautiful as ever. However, the service at Reception was not as we expected. If we needed help to book an activity, we were just given a list of companies and we had to phone or email ourselves. Coming from the UK this was more difficult. It's expensive and not always easy on international calls.

Family Vacation Palm Island 3213

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Palm Island was overall great. The office staff and bellmen and women were amazing! They are quick to assist you with your items from your car to your condo. The unit itself was decent. Gave typical beach condo vibes but could use a little updating in the bathrooms. Freezer does not have an ice maker so you will need to bring or purchase ice. Keep in mind items to purchase will be pricey being you’re on the island without the ease of running to a store quickly. There were a few roaches and a spider so probably needs more bug treatment especially being there are some rainy days expected on the coast. The access to pool and beach are fantastic. The Rum Bay restaurant was used one night with no complaints. We were a big group with multiple units and really enjoyed our time together on Palm Island. Requires organization to make sure you have what you need once you’re on the island but we are beach people and had no problem knowing what to bring to be happy. Beware of Patty who is apparently apart of the HOA - she harassed our family at the pool for the condos around 32-35. She was pushy and demanding we didn’t move umbrellas or have any drinks around the pool. The staff was great in helping us resolve the issue overall but being it’s primarily a vacation rental - she could probably use some talking to from Palm Island Resort so that future guests do not feel they have to tip toe around. We will be back as it was the beach vacation we love year to year with family!

Family 2024 Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was fine. However, it wasn't very clean. Lots of dog hair on living room rug, in washer and dryer. Human hair on pillows and between sheets in king bed. No towels available at pool as advertised. Experience at Rum Bay Restaurant not great. Andrew at Coconuts is WONDERFUL! Young man who transported us with luggage to and from parking lot was A DELIGHT!

Unit # b3213a was over priced and was not at all what we have enjoyed in the past 34 visits. We enjoy the resort, and will be back again.

Some of the things we love the most are... no stores or anything else "commercial" on the island, not having to drive & just getting around on foot or by golf cart, beautiful clear water, friendliness of the staff and the way they go the extra mile for the guests, beautiful grounds and landscaping, variety of activities on the island.

We called and complained and they moved us to a "superior room"??? The new room was better. We were there with a large group and all received a golf cart in their package, we did not. I wish they did not make the room/ package selection so **** confusing. We did have a great time and the island is kept in good shape.

This year was no exception. The resort staff were friendly and professional, the grounds and pool were well kept and the villas clean and in somewhat good shape. We rented two units; one of the units (3213) needs minor repairs and decluttering. There was no ice maker (pieces of the ice maker were sitting on top of the refrigerator), the kitchen needs a trash can (it had a small waste paper basket), the louver doors to the washer/dryer closet were broken (doors would not stay shut), cabinet drawers in bedroom closet were missing, and closets and drawers were cluttered with what looks like leftover projects (broken pieces of vertical blinds, old electronic components, miscellaneous pieces of hardware, etc.). We will be back again next year.
