I'm reconsidering using Expedia for future bookings. My Expedia receipt was $5 less than what the hotel actually charged to my card. When you're traveling for business, it's frustrating to have to reconcile two separate receipts just to get reimbursed.
Additionally, the hotel was in the middle of a system switch during my checkout, and I only received a receipt for 3 of the 4 nights I stayed. When I contacted the hotel, they couldn’t access the old system and promised to email the missing night's receipt—which I never received. Again, this is a significant inconvenience when accurate documentation is needed for expense reports.
One more downside: there's currently no on-site dining available, which has always been a key reason I chose this hotel in the past. That said, I did notice the hotel was much cleaner than during my previous stay, which was a welcome improvement.
