Vintage Charm - Historic Home - Spacious, Scenic - near Devil's Lake, WI Dells
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this charming property! Our host was there to welcome us and show us around the property. She also gave us a brief history of this historic home. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items you'd need to prepare and enjoy a meal, which we did on a couple of occasions. Two refrigerators, one small, one full sized. Nice dining room, large table. Several games to play if you wish. Books and magazines as well. Nice living room. Very nice enclosed porch with plenty of room for everyone with places to sit. Two bathrooms, showers worked fine. It was hot outside when we were there, but the AC units kept us cool inside!! They work very well! I needed a couple of supplies, and it was a very short drive to Mauston, only several minutes. The Dells are a short, easy drive also. 25 minutes or so. The landscape and flower garden around the property are beautiful. Lots of room out back to run and play. This location was easy to find using Google maps. Thank you Karen for a wonderful stay!!! I highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the area! I also highly recommend Rivers Edge Pub and Grill in The Dells. My favorite place to eat there. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. It's off the beaten path, but easy to find. If it's your birthday, you get your age percentage off your food and becerage!!!"
The Driftless Escape! Modern, large cabin/57 private acres in WI drift less area
10/10 Excellent
"Such a lovely spot away from the city with ample room for dogs to roam and crazy cool birdlife in the forest around the property. This was our second visit and we really enjoyed access to the Wisconsin River, the Frank Lloyd Wright Trail, and effigy mounds representing such an important part of life and history in the region."
"Parking was very convenient and close to the door. The room was spacious for a double queen and clean. However, you can hear everything next door if you have an adjoining door. Having two restaurants near by that are walkable is a plus. The Los Amigos, which is attached to the hotel, and Arthur's Supper Club, approximately 200 feet away across the street."
"Our stay was great. We enjoyed the pool and exercise equipment. Beds were extremely comfortable and property was clean. Staff were professional and helpful."
"Location is good. Next to McDonald's, across from stores and restaurant. Indoor pool, basic breakfast. Room was comfortable and had large tv. Spectrum cable with decent options. Overall, a good stay."
