Lovely chat with the staff upfront. They were full of answers if asked. Even told me about the ghost that resides there- i need to go back some time. Room was clean as heck for a older hotel. Parking was a bit difficult as it was across the street. Close to some nice food tho.

Not the cleanest room, but it was still nice and conveniently located. The nearby parking was very expensive and would’ve appreciated if it could be validated.

Very Historical! Bathroom has two different knobs for hot and cold water. Room size is "just big enough" any smaller and you'd be in a closet. The bathroom well two people can't occupy it at the same time! But it's a clean, safe place to rest . If historic stays are your thing you will love this cute lil hotel. It is centrally located right on a corner in downtown. Next to plenty bars and restaurants in walking distance to grocery store frys/Kroger and stadium . This is right off the light rail not bad for the $80 per night

Clean but old but thats what gives it its charm but if your looking for new this is not your place. Parking you have to find a close by garage its about 30 dollars a day so add that to your stay. Area is awesome night life, food and things to do every coner. AC is controlled by I dont know but definitely not you no thermostat in the rooms it was comfortable but go warm a few times ceiling fan definitely helped. Water pressure in the shower was probably the worse I ever had it just fell out had to stand right under it for the water to hit you. Staff was great very kind and willing to help hotel definitely has its charm just not sure if its total worth it I might stay here again if I needed to.

Considering that Hotel San Carolos is an historic hotel, it stands to reason that the property might be called "dated" which adds to its character. Friendly staff. Parking is available (and affordable) just around the corner from the hotel in a city parking garage. Plenty of eateries and pubs within easy walking distance. Close to the Phoenix Convention Center. If you stay here, take the time to notice some of the stars who made this their destination in days gone by, and the stories and news items that are framed on the hallway walls.
