within 10 minutes walk from downtown center
This seems to be a newly-build hotel that offer easy access to the center in the downtown area. In the vicinity of the hotel, you can find restaurants and shops (such as CVS). The hotel is also within a walkable distance from the nearest Light Rail stations. The room is sufficiently large, clean, and comfortable. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator (an icebox) in which you can keep your drinks and food and a coffee maker with which you can boil the water. The bathroom space is also large enough in which you can take a shower. The internet access is available via both wireless and wired networks, and the speed of the data communication is satisfactory. The room also provides a small work desk that can be freely moved, which greatly help me arrange my computer and input devices for my business. You can also purchase drinks and snacks the space next to the check-in desk on the ground floor. The staff are quite friendly. The cost performance of this hotel is almost topmost among those I stayed before.

The property overall is centrally located to everything you need. There is a grocery store across the street which was super convenient to pick up drinks and snacks. The hotel itself was clean and staff was helpful for the most part. Having to use your room key to operate the elevator EVERY time you got in it was kind of a pain. I can see using it to operate the elevator once you first get in to go up to your room; however, having to use it to go to the lobby from the floor your room is on was a bit much.

One-way streets and construction made getting to the hotel a bit challenging. Of course, valet parking was right out front, but it took a bit of investigative work to find much more affordable self parking. Front desk staff quickly handled a very noisy group in the next room at 3AM. Hotel is a very short walk to the Footprint Center and there are many restaurants nearby.

Underwhelming & Overpriced
We booked our stay here to 1. Celebrate a milestone and 2. Escape our house, which had slightly flooded due to a broken water heater. Upon entry, the vibes were immediately askew. Receptionists seemed as though they may have been held hostage by Marriott, but they were friendly, especially one in particular (I don’t want to name her), who ended every exchange with well wishes & a smile that seemed authentic but had an undertone of contempt for her job. I don’t blame her. Our room was small & the petite bottle of lotion supplied by the hotel had already been opened. The shower’s handle was fragile, like a foal prone to dying at the mildest inconvenience. No free breakfast. The lounge was closed off due to some sort of bartending convention, whatever. When we tried to book another night (out of necessity), they initially claimed to be full, then said we could stay another night, at the cost of… $550. No, thanks. I wish the staff well, they were friendly. Hopefully Marriott releases them home to their families.

Nice hotel, small room
The hotel was very nice and extremely convenient for our overnight stay after the Eagles concert in Phoenix. However, for what we paid ($359 before taxes), the room was very small and nothing special. In fact the bed was so close to the wall it was difficult for my husband to get up during the night. There was only one coffee packet, the TV was small, and the couch was very hard. Also, we could not open the body wash in the shower which forced us to use the one tiny bar of soap that was in the bathroom. Service (people) was great and the hotel itself is very nice and convenient, we just expected more from the room.

It was perfect for us to go to the concert and took only minutes. Staff was great help and friendly went way out of there way. Restaurants are all close by and had good food. Little pricey but that is what to be expected downtown

What I liked about hotel was friendly staff and great shower with towel racks to properly hang your towels. After a long day of travel, friendly staff, a clean room, and a hot shower is what most guests need. So, thank you Courtyard Marriott!

The only thing I didn't like was when I ordered a taxi. Instead of taxi, I got a car service, where no rates were written anywhere and I got charged a lot more than with a taxi, and with no receipt had to pay cash. I would expect the hotel to book an official taxi, and if not, the hotel should have notified me that I wasn't going to get a taxi.

Great location, quiet hotel, walking distance to Chase Field and the Footprint center, walkable area with good restaurant options. Parking is $40/day for Valet or $30/day in public parking nearby.
