Fabulous beach, river, ocean view; only steps away. Very good restaurant also. We watched the lobster being unloaded and a short time later enjoyed them dipped in butter. Would highly recommend.
We had nice views of the bay . The room was clean and mostly updated. Nice staff though we didn’t see them much. It’s a great spot right on a beach you could walk for miles. Very secluded which we liked but not many restaurant choices for miles. They were on end of season schedule so the restaurant was only open on weekends.id go again!!
Lovely area but since the restaurant was closed for the season (end of September) we had to drive 30- 40 minutes for food. The breakfast was bagels, yogurt and cereal. Don’t think we’d stay there again

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
We had very nice views and the room itself was very clean. The restaurant was not open during our stay, which we were not aware of. That was a bit of a problem because this property is so far from any other restaurants.
Cons: The room was quite small and the towels are thin. Pros: Very quiet, comfortable bed, amazing view from Room 1, great location at the end of a peninsula. There were some unadvertised free breakfast items available. Thank you. We enjoyed a walk along an empty beach in the morning. It was very windy, but the waters were pretty calm near the Guesthouse. Farther up the beach we enjoyed the amazing ocean waves! I could have watched them all day.
Great place! - we traveled for business, and it was only me staying overnight - not a planned vacation, just a last-minute arrangement - but so surprised at the beauty of the surroundings; the endless beach, the clear ocean so pristine and quiet - and the inn staff was so very pleasant - room was impeccably clean, quiet, just the birds - there is a restaurant right adjacent with fresh sea food, I did not have the time to check it out but it looked lively (next time) over all it was a surprised finding! Beautiful place!
Spinners is a marvelous place to stay at if you are looking for a nice weekend at the beach. It is located right next to a delicious restaurant and Fort Popham as well. The room was really nice and amenities top notch. Staff was also mega nice
Early in the season with spring cleanup and maintenance going on, most workers were done for the day after our easy check in. Chris and other staff were great. Easy access to the beach.
Loved staying at Spinneys, got to partake in the cedar sauna and staff was accommodating to an early check in. Next morning we were able to wake up and watch seals play in the water right out front, along with a beautiful sunrise. Will be back!
We rented a room last minute and love the beach access. Watching the sunrise from the swing just steps from our room was fantastic! Chris at the front desk showed us to our room when we arrived, telling us about the property. We will definitely be back!
The location doesn’t get any better, right on the beach! Chris and his staff made us feel right at home. The rooms have all been updated with bathrooms, AC, and coffee outside in the hall. Great full service restaurant with an extensive food and bar menu. Morning walks on the beach and sunsets were spectacular. Lots of character in a special little corner of Maine!

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The location was perfect. Loved the fact that we could cook there. It was large and roomy. Beds comfortable. However the kitchen area was filthy. Like it had not been cleaned.
I would go back again though. It was the end of the season and probably not much help left.
This was a great spot right on the beach. It’s a home built in the 1800’s. The restaraunt next door is delicious. There is a small refrigerator in the room but no blow dryer. The only downside is that It is very out of the way with no stores near by and no place to get breakfast. We came on a Saturday and on Sunday morning there was no coffee available in the hallway. Not sure if they just forgot to refill the coffee station or if you’re just on your own. Otherwise we just loved the spot.
Spinneys was not at all what we expected. It was a very old building, really quite run down. The room was small and obliviously, the closet had been converted to a shower, so no place to hang up clothing and no one of extra proportions would fit in the shower. The room was not "dirty" per se, just not very clean and lots of stairs! I was recovering from a serious knee injury so the stairs were a deal breaker. We had paid for two nights and only stayed one. We asked for a refund, but were ignored even after having stated that the stairs were a real problem. Too bad it was so far into the boondocks, we wouldn't have even stayed one night after hiking up all the stairs and seeing the room. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The sheets appeared to be clean a freshly changed.
The cottage had two bedrooms. It was comfortable and clean. The restaurant next door was very good, friendly and welcoming. There was also a little store and ice cream counter connected to the restaurant.
Room was spotless but had a nod to the past as one would expect from an inn of its time. Staff, Cecelia, was very sweet and helpful. The views from our room were spectacular. Friends loved the sauna, ocean dip experience! I would definitely recommend this resort
