The place is located really well, but the keys given for the door don't work properly, the room and the washroom are really small. No water, coffee or anything was given which mentioned during booking

Horrible place

No heat, no hot water, no toilet paper dirty and smells! Tv only had 1 channel and the dude bolted right after check in. Ended up leaving within a hour!! Don't stay here ever!!

Worst experience ever!

By far the worst experience ever this place should not be on a website to find. Felt and saw bed bugs and now I have welts all over my body. I hate to and never leave comments unless it is good but this place was JUST WAY TOO DISGUSTING!

I purchased the two queen Sized bed suite for a romantic evening.The rooms look nothing like advertised they tried to give me a really small one bed, room (201) smaller than a small spare bed room in a row home; then when I bought this to the attention of the daytime manager she didn't really seem to care and told me that's what I bought. After I pointed out that it wasn't in clear writing, she with irration gave me keys to another room (401) The next room had a broken queen sized bed no middle slack so the bed sank, a toilet with no back cover to it, No toilet paper the second queen sized bed was infact a twin on broken queen frame with a broken head board upon going to put the t?

Great location, in poor repair, great location, room didn't have a waste paper basket, great location, but staff is friendly, great location, smelled funny, great location, carpet old, great location, mattress squishy, great location, blinds broken, great location, nice view, great location. One real objection: lots of independence themed art, including a reproduction of the Declaration Of Independence, framed and hanging in the bathroom directly over the toilet Whose idea was that? It is a bad idea, really.

Only if you gotta and prepare for cozy small!!

Best thing about the location was it was down near Independence area easy access to some food amenities however the room was small nothing like the pictures. Had to go up several flights of steps and everything was somewhat outdated. Tiny sink made for child was low to the ground, shower not effective... took time for the hot water to come up. The potential breakfast...snacks offered in the morning was not appealing. I only would stay again if needed to because no other opportunities available or a special offer extended. Oldest hotel in the Philadelphia area I think they celebrated. Easy checkout cause no one is there. You just drop keys in a mail slot in a door.

My stay

Was happy to get a free upgrade due to the room I requested wasn't available. The room was extremely tiny. The room needed ablot of detail work done like painting. Look like there was once a leak in the room.

Starting with the obvious: the location and price are very hard to beat but be aware that you get what you pay for. Small rooms, not clean, very outdated. For one night, it would be fine but even at that, you have to be a pretty relaxed traveler to say this place is worth it, even at how cheap it might be.

The photos are a lot better than what you get. It isn't a bad hotel, but it does have its flaws. It is an older hotel and that is very clear when you're stying there. One thing that was particularly bad was a couple who was very loud. Service was fine and the rate is great, though.

Worst hotel experience of my life! It was filthy, smelled and had bugs. Food was left out in the so called front desk on the second floor. For $300/night, I was expecting a very nice boutique hotel experience.
