This hotel is horribly run down and in need of major refurb. The room took a good 2 hours to reach anything approaching a reasonable temperature. The bath would have taken overnight to fill and with water that was a choice between freezing and skin blistering. It was a real challenge to get wet with the pathetic shower. Don’t be sucked in by the breakfast included trick, it wasn’t worth getting up for instant coffee and awful quality ham and cheese. Just remember this hotel is cheap for a reason - or many reasons. The staff were lovely though!

Despite reading some poor reviews, we had a recently painted room (233) in the annexe bit. There was a generous supply of tea, coffee etc and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The entrance doors desperately need some new paint as it gives a poor first impression; the furniture and furnishings in the main hotel are dated, but it is only a 3 * hotel ! All staff we met were friendly, helpful and professional. There was good, well lit parking. Our room, towels and bedlinen were all clean. It would have been lovely to have had at least filter coffee at breakfast. Thank you

Room a little cramped. Older building so no surprise that the floor had a slight slope. Staff excellent and very receptive, positive when I mentioned a couple of small niggles. (I'm 68). No cooked breakfast but continental great.

Non drinkers here....enjoyed the music in the background while eating at restaurant. I had a broken shoulder and was accommodated in every part of hotel....thank you so much!

Séjour en famille. Du personnel adorable et très souriant. Avec notre enfant de trois ans ils ont été plus que sympathique :) en pleine nuit mon fils a été malade et ils ont été adorable et efficace pour me donner des draps de rechange :) Un peu de bruits dû à la chaudière à côté de notre chambre mais sinon chambre très confortable

Weekend break

Although abit dated, the hotel was clean and staff were great. The dinner at night was excellant, we had the best steak and meals were great. The only down size was the breakfast im afraid, mainly as the cooked breakfast was bought to you as soon as you went in and you were eating cereals and was cold. Not much choice.

Breakfast was cooked lovely and very tasty . I did not go for healthy . Staff are super friendly and so helpful . Room was very clean and quiet and had a great rest . This hotel is pretty dated, but was warm and clean throughout the stay. Breakfast could have been better as it was served cold. This was rectified after mentioning it. All in all for the price we paid it was a fair hotel. We would stay there again.

Staff are exceptional service was great the hotel is a little tired but rooms were clean and adequate. Roseline was excellent on reception. The bar being open later for guest is great. The breakfast was good and the location perfect for visiting Perth and Scone Palace is a must visit. Cannot Thank the staff enough. Would stay again.

Hotel feels struggling

Clean room but in a separate building from main hotel building, it looked like a private house and felt like you where going into someone's home. Everything felt old about the room but bed was comfy, lots of noise from people coming and going from they're rooms and our room was 2 doors away from a noisy front door. Website stated buffet breakfast but when we got there we where given a sheet of paper with 6 or 7 breakfast items on it and asked to tick what we would like. I am vegetarian and there was very little I could eat from the list...tomatoes and beans I think was the choice so I didn't go to breakfast, my Husband did go and was very underwhelmed by it saying he got one of each item he had ticked on the sheet of paper, he would have taken a few slices of bacon and a couple more sausages had it been the advertised buffet breakfast. The hotel had a nice bar area and we enjoyed several rounds of drinks. The young lady who checked us in and served at the bar all night was super nice, very friendly, professional and a great asset to the hotel

Basic hotel and would benefit of an upgrade, that said the hotel is being done bit by bit, food was excellent, sirloin steak was delicious, room was clean and comfy bed, staff were ever so helpful. Would come back again.

When I arrived there was no room in the car park. I checked in and then was advised I had to go outside in the pouring rain to access a separate building where my room was located. After climbing up the stairs I arrived in my room which was dark, dingy and dated. After a long day I wanted a shower but the water pressure and fixtures were such that it was nothing more than a dribble and cold. The room was like stepping back in time. The carpet felt gritty underfoot and there were cobwebs on the walls. The mattress was hard. I will not be returning. Travelodge is like a 5star in comparison
