This 3-bedroom house sleeps up to 6 people with 2 queen and 2 single beds. The renovations include a new wood fired heater to embrace the winter months, whilst still enjoying the wonderful views of Penneshaw beach. Free WiFi, With two showers and two toilets everyone is happy.
The billiard table has always offered a great opportunity for bonding or socializing with family or friends. Talinga On The Bay features floor to ceiling glass doors with spectacular views overlooking the beach, the Sealink passenger and vehicle ferry and mainland. Air-con, private courtyard, poolroom, and gas BBQ.
Kangaroo Island is fresh air, pristine beaches, dramatic scenery and thriving native wildlife. Small tours, cycling, horse riding, diving, farming, walking and fishing all adhere to the rules of eco-friendly treatment. Walk close to wildlife. Delight in the abundance of wildflowers.
At Seal Bay an experienced interpretive guide gives you an insight into the lives of Australian Sea lions. Flinders Chase Nat. Park is home to the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch and the Rocky River information center - go back in time looking for fossils. Fur seals, koalas, platypus, glossy black cockatoos, cape barren geese and of course kangaroos will welcome you to the park and keep you entertained along the many walking trails - many leading to secluded, isolated beaches.
Imagine waking to the gentle lap of the waves spilling onto the clean sandy beach, a refreshing walk collecting shells - possibly a nautilus, watching entranced as a pod of dolphins leap and frolic out of the water chasing after a school of salmon. A short walk takes you up to shops, fine cafes and restaurants or along to Baudin Conservation Park to spot some of our endangered wildlife.

Loved our 2 nights at Talinga!Perfect location - easy walk from the ferry and a short walk to the supermarket & shops in Penneshaw. Really comfortable space for 2 friends, with plenty of spare room. The hosts have done a great job with renovations & the house felt really lovely!Both of us are already planning our next stay, thank you!

The perfect place to say & relax

The property is located a few hundred metres from the ferry but very quiet & a lovely outlook. Cafes a short walk away with great coffee. All new kitchen, bathrooms & laundry. Perfect for families and Ros was the perfect host

Great location, close to everything

Deceptively spacious. Easily caters to a large family with two bathrooms, dining room and a games room. Great kitchen area that looks out over the sea and ferry terminal. Very comfortable accommodation and short walk into town and the beach. Highly recommend.

Work stay

Beautiful location and very clean property….although it was a work trip it was a treat to be able to relax after work with a walk to the beach. Proximity to shops and services was a big plus for us with this trip. With future work coming up I hope to stay again.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped property within walking distance of the IGA, the pub and the beach. The standout is the view over Backstairs Passage to the mainland. Just need some hanging space in the front room and a champagne stopper 😁

Beautiful views, wonderful property

A freshly renovated house with amazing views of Penneshaw’s beach and bay. Sparklingly clean with many thoughtful features and a friendly host. The pool table was great entertainment for the kids. We loved our stay in the house - it was so impressive and a short walk from cafes, the pub and shops. Highly recommend

Amazing view in a top location

The sunrise coming up over the mainland each morning is a sight to behold & this property is situated perfectly to take it all in. The interior is nicely renovated and has all the conveniences of home such as dishwasher and washing machine. The pool table provides a nice break with non-digital fun and the back yard is conveniently enclosed for the dogs.

Comfortable house in central Penneshaw location

Talinga is a comfortable house well stocked with all your needs for a relaxing break with wonderful waterfront views. Half renovated half yet to be renovated.

Great house

We were very happy with the accommodation including the modern well stocked kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It was comfortable and roomy. As we drove there Penneshaw was a great location as it was very close to the ferry. There were some interesting walks nearby. We did a day tour which also left from Penneshaw.Would love to come back and stay at the house for a longer period of time to further explore. We decided not to bring the dogs but the area at the back would be very suitable. Many thanks and regards.

Ideal location

Myself and a work colleague stayed for 3 nights for work. Everything was clean and well set out. Very comfortable. We were working all day but nice to come back and relax at the end of the day. 2 bathrooms which is a plus. You can see the Sealink dock and leave. Didn't get to use the pool table in the end but maybe next time.
