The Mott apartment is a unique/quaint 800 square feet on the second floor with a private rear entrance with a secure keypad. Its absolutely beautiful and so much to do in town or the surrounding area.
The space
Settled in the middle of Cuyahoga National forest/park. The Mott apartment is named after Orson J. Mott, who used the property for his blacksmith shop in the late 1800's. The charming apartment is located in historic downtown Peninsula, Ohio. Nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park/forest it is walking distance to restaurants ,shopping, train depot and bike rentals. This home is within walking distance of the beautiful Cuyahoga river. A perfect getaway to relax and explore the beautiful nature trails and the surrounding area. The national park has hundreds of miles of hiking trails, biking trails, river walks, kayaking and amazing waterfalls. There is also a ski resort a few miles away for winter sports.

Great place with everything we needed for an excellent extended weekend in Peninsula, OH. Only item preventing this from being five-stars is the queen-sized bed mattress was the hardest thing we've slept on in quite some time. For a few hundred capex on a new mattress, the owner can make this place close to perfect.

Property is absolutely gorgeous. Everything you need for a wonderful stay has been provided. Within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and the national park. Host is helpful and communicative. Would highly recommend staying at either property owned by the host.

We weren’t able to stay at this property due to some maintenance issues, but Richard set us up at the Bronson Barn which was an amazing place for our stay. The Barn had everything we needed and an amazing outdoor space. Thanks for a great stay!

There was a repair that needed to be completed at the Mott apartment, so the host changed our accommodation to the Bronson House. The Bronson House is a historic home located minutes from downtown Peninsula. Restaurants, hiking, biking, and local shops were within walking distance. It was beautifully kept inside and out. There was an area in the back of the property that looked out on to the Cuyahoga River. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

Beautiful barn and location

This was a great place from which to explore Cuyahoga! The barn is lovely, comfortable, and well appointed. It's near the park points of interest in Cuyahoga and has a delightful river overlook spot out back.Rich was fantastic to work with, very responsive and accommodating to needs. We highly recommend!

Comfortable Apartment in a Great Location

We loved this apartment. It was very clean and comfortable and well-stocked. The location in Peninsula was perfect for us as we were very close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and we could walk to several restaurants. We rented bikes from the electric bike place next door and rode on the tow path in the park. That was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed our stay. Rich was very responsive and a great host.

Exceeded expectations

Rich gave us an upgrade at no additional charge due to a plumbing problem that he found prior to our arrival at the original location. The barn (upgrade) had an amazing view from the patio and we felt we were somewhere special. The barn was decorated beautifully and we could see stars through the many windows.

Peninsula is the Best!

My friend and I came from opposite regions in the country to meet in the middle at this beautiful place. Not only is the location absolutely perfect, being situated with the Cuyahoga Valley all around you, but place itself was a relaxing and quaint get away for us to recovery from our hiking and enjoy visiting with each other. I would love to come back and see more of the National Park and surrounding area. Rich was amazing to communicate with and made everything about renting this place easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!!!

Clean, Good Location, Lovely Town

Great location, very clean, comfortable and good amenities including washer/dryer. Loved the smell from the popcorn shop on the first floor as you come through the first floor entrance, yet you hardly notice it on the second floor which is where the apartment is. Our only complaint was the single water filter pitcher in the refrigerator is inadequate and we had to buy bottled water for drinking etc.
