A very comfortable stay in a great location

We stayed in the upper farmhouse for 4 nights. With two bedrooms there was ample space to relax and enjoy time in the house. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The double bedroom looks out over the lovely pond to the hills beyond. The outdoor table and chairs would be welcome when the weather is too hot to be indoors. Portclew cottages are very well placed for walking or driving to the start of coastal walks and to beautiful sandy beaches. There are a few pubs nearby for meals and a large supermarket not far away if supplies are needed. The grounds are well cared for and the owners very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Well equipped, comfortable cottage in a perfect location.

Very helpful host (accommodating a last minute extra guest by providing sofa bed bedding). The flat is comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for a week with our two young children who loved the large communal garden complete with sandpit and a very friendly cat. Everything was clean and worked well. Simple generosities (a welcome pack, a full roll of bin bags and a full bottle of washing up liquid etc) were really appreciated after more 'minimalist' approaches towards hosting from other places we have stayed. After a short roadside stretch, there is a lovely walk to the beach through the ferns. We found that there was so much to do in such a short stretch of coastline. In spite of some mixed Welsh weather we had a brilliant trip. Thank you!

Lovely stay at Portclew House

We stayed for two nights at Upper Farmhouse in Portclew House. It’s a small cluster of properties in lovely grounds including a duck pond and beautiful views. It was clean and furnished very nicely. Location perfect for Freshwater East with everything else within easy reach including Barafundle Bay, Tenby etc. There is a book giving tips on what to do and where to go in the property written by the owner. Highly recommended. Also might be useful to note we were in touch with owner before we went and booked directly, could not be more helpful, lovely to deal with.
