The Golden Sands was a really good place to stay. Amazing view and private patio area outside the room. Well recommended for anyone thinking of staying in and around Algonquin.

​I had a wonderful solo getaway at Sands on Golden Lake. The ground floor room opened directly onto the beach, making launching my paddleboard super convenient. Rooms include a mini fridge and a self-serve complimentary breakfast (fresh eggs to cook, toast, and local Madawaska coffee). ​The resort has a cozy, rustic lodge with a fireplace. On-site dining is great—the fish and chips were delicious, and the dining room has lake views. Safe, welcoming, and scenic. Highly recommended!

Un grand merci à Zack et Amy pour leur gentillesse et leur flexibilité. Nous avons eu beaucoup de problèmes pour les rejoindre et ils ont répondu présent malgré une heure d’arrivée très tardive. La chambre 5 est juste parfaite, vous ouvrez votre porte et vous n’avez que quelques pas à faire avant d’avoir les pieds dans le sable au bord du magnifique Golden Lake. Petit déjeuner avec tout le nécessaire, une grande salle avec vue sur le lac. C’est notre petit coup de coeur de notre road trip de 2 semaines à travers l’Ontario. Our room was clean facing the lake. We ate supper with a very limited menu. We had 1 waitress serving and she was wonderful but struggling to keep up. Not very accessible.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Golden Lake mit kleinem Sandstrand. Das Zimmer war groß, allerdings ist alles schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das dazugehörige Restaurant hat uns leider nicht zugesagt. Das WLAN hat leider nicht funktioniert, als wir dort waren. Es gibt einen kleinen Snack zum Frühstück mit Selbstbedienung.

À part la vue sur le lac....rien de positif. Cet établissement à besoin de beaucoup d'amour. Toiles d'araignées, moisissures. Chambre avec le strict minimum de commodité. Personne à l'accueil très nonchalant. Pour 200$ la nuit, je m'attendais à mieux. Les photos sur le site ne représente pas la réalité....

The room was recently renovated and spotlessly clean. Bed and bedding were wonderful. Best shower pressure I have had at a motel in a long time. Beach was wonderful and the view breathtaking!!! Wee bit disappointed with continental breakfast but we made due. Because of the impossibility to get staff, the restaurant had limited options and hours. Wish they had microwaves in rooms so we could have made our own food. We will definitely be back but better prepared for meals. There are few restaurants in the area. Thank you to Sands and staff for a great mini vacation.

Nous avions louer deux chambres une était très propre et très grande l’autre assez normal je crois qu’il n’était pas prêt à recevoir des clients le Lobbé n’était pas prêt et ´ extérieur de la bâtisse n’avait pas été nettoyé du tout Les commodités de restauration annoncer n’était pas prête Sûrement que plus tard dans la saison le tout devrait rentrer dans l’ordre
