"This is a great camp on Biscay Pond to enjoy and relax the area. Fishing was also great. Mary our host was super excellent. We called her about a gas grill issue and Mary came over immediately and swapped the grill out with another one!"

"The farm was a peaceful setting after traveling and parking was very convenient close to the front door. The open courtyard was a great place to sit out and lots of firewood available for the outside firepit. The rustic furniture was very interesting and fitting for the renovated barn conversion. Supplies for the kitchen, and bathroom were adequate. It does state in the listing that the floors and walls are barn wood siding, but some parts of the floorboards were uneven."

"What an absolutely magical stay. It was peaceful, the views were gorgeous, the house was spotless, the amenities were plentiful including the stocked kitchen and extra lake towels, and the communication from the hosts was proactive and helpful. It's perfect for 2 people, all the necessities of a larger home, compacted , with a fantastic location on the Pemaquid Pond and views of Mother Nature Sun rise and sun sets from the windows . I highly recommend it as a great place to stay Janice August 2026"

"The perfect location for exploring beautiful spots along the coast and having a relaxing place to come back to. Sitting by the pond edge morning and evening to see and hear the loons was an extra bonus (though the house is across the street from the pond but with easy access). The dining/ living area was great for evenings together with friends. The host was great with keeping in touch. Be mindful that the upstairs queen bedroom has the slanted ceiling peaks to have to maneuver around."

"What a great place! So relaxing, yet so close to everything. From morning kayak runs to wonderful restaurant recommendations from our host Dave, you can't ask for much more. We were two couples and had to fight for the king room, but once that was settled, we had a wonderful time filled with new memories. At the top of our list for this area when we return."

"We had a wonderful stay in the Sheep Shed Cottage. It was rustic, quirky, and fun (a step above glamping). The Thistledown Farm offers multiple onsite outdoor activities and many other activities are close by. The furthest we drove for any activity was 45 minutes, and it was great to return from the hustle and bustle of the costal communities to a quiet evening by the fire pit. Penny is a wonderful host and we loved every opportunity we had to chat with her. Sheep Shed Cottage is the most rustic of her VRBO offerings, but she graciously showed us her other spaces and they are beautiful. A stay at Thistledown Farm is worth your while."
