Our family had a great time here. The kids had so much fun running through the yard, sitting by the fire pit, and watching the stars. It was great to disconnect from TV/Internet for a weekend. We look forward to staying here again as a family. It really transports you to a simpler time. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here while we visited nearby knoebels. Had all the amenities we needed and we really enjoyed hanging out on the front porch.

Great place to disconnect

We had a great time, loved the property, kids all had a blast!! Close to Knobel's which is where we went for a few different day trips and otherwise stayed on property playing ball outside and piano inside lol!

Family Reunion Weekend

Knoebel's Vacation

Property was lovely and a short distance to Knoebels where we spent most of our days. Host was friendly and informative. Wish we had more time to spend there. Only recommendation for anyone with smaller children would be to bring a baby gate for the stairs.

Family Time

Three generations of family celebrated Christmas. Loads of game time and a great space to chat. The country charm reminded me of my grandparent's farm house. Mary Jane responded so quickly to texts. We loved it.

Big country kitchen- enjoyed breakfast every am. We sat on the front porch & drank beverages listening to the birds & insects . For late night -Bring DVDs- no cable or WiFi, furniture in the TV room could use updating-not comfortable.

Old country farm house located in a rural area. Location worked well for us. We like to take day trips around the area. Good place to unplug and relax. Lots of running area for children or your fur babies. Mary Jane is quick to answer any questions that may arise and check in was a breeze.

Great getaway

Reminded me very much of my childhood home. Board games and a DVD player forced family time. Get the kids away from the screens and explore the outside nature and firepit. Even tried to fish with my youngest daughter. Way better than a hotel. Would stay again if able!

Relaxing getaway

It was awesome! It was peacful, lots for the kids to run around and enjoy themselfs! They loved being in the creek! There is a nice little restaurant and produce place right down the road and it has a few foos items if you forgot something! The Host was amazing and sweet and responded right away to every questioni had! I would go again!

Quiet Unique Getaway

The property is a quaint old farmhouse (which I thought would appeal to my husband). Plenty more bedrooms than we needed, so if your party is bigger, there's room. The VRBO listing is incorrect when it mentions Wi-Fi, there isn't any & signal is pretty spotty, so plan accordingly.

Cozy farmhouse. A step back in time.

Loved our stay at the farmhouse. It was like staying at Grandma's. Love all the old furnishings. The piano was wonderful to sit at and play hymns. We adored the Christian decor. The wildlife was a bonus! The hostess Mary Jane was excellent with everything. Especially quick to answer any questions. We will be back!

Cozy country home

Felt just like visiting grandma's house! Our family of 5 enjoyed the spacious house with more than enough room to relax both indoors and outdoors. It was great to be able to bring the dog with us. The yard was very peaceful and private, and it was a treat seeing a group of deer pass through each morning. This was our first time using Vrbo and staying at a privately owned property, and we're so glad we did. Definitely a better decision than getting a hotel nearby! We will definitely come back for another getaway in the future!

Lovely very private property with a spacious home. Some updates needed in regard to the furniture in the living room. Also we felt new towels would benefit. The owner was very kind and made the rental simple.

Mary Jane was a great hostess and pleasant to speak with before/after our stay. The home was cozy, comfortably slept 6 or more, and had an at-home feeling. The location was very peaceful with beautiful scenery, large yard and fire pit. The home has all the basics: bedding, towels, cooking utensils, coffee pot etc. For families who desire WiFi and cable, note that there is none (which was a lot of the appeal for us!) but there is a dvd player for movies.

Authentic farmhouse feel

As soon as you step in this home you feel like you’re stepping back in time, like visiting your grandma when you were young. This house was cozy and comfortable. The yard was huge and the fire pit will be calling your name. The owner was always quick to communicate and answer all your questions. They made check in check out so flawless and easy. The WiFi wasn’t working, but you kinda didn’t miss it since it was so quiet and peaceful.

A step back in time...in a GOOD wahy

This is like going to Grandma's house. So quaint and homey. It's literally like stepping into your Grandma's house when you remember all the good and simple things of life. A great place to get away from today's crazy world. Really close to Knoebel's which was perfect. Very clean and super comfortable. All the rooms are very spacious. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. Mary Jane is super responsive and a wonderful host. Highly recommended.

Quintessential PA Farm House perfect for families

We had 8 people in our group so this large house was perfect for us and owner was helpful and communicative. We stayed 2 nights while we visited Knoebels Amusement Park, a short, easy drive from the house. The decor was interesting (the ABUNDANCE of religious items made some of our party uneasy, as some wall hangings in the main entrance to the house expressed disturbing viewpoints) but everything else was lovely and comfortable. The bedrooms are set up perfectly for 2 families, but if you are a lone adult and thinking about taking the room with the one twin, think again if you have a bad back. Adult children and their partners all reported other beds were ok, just not the single twin.

Hunting Trip in 4E

The host was wonderful with information and her spirt was so refreshing. The house was going back in time on how Americans lived in the 1930+ century. Old school house and clean old school furniture. My three sons and myself loved it and were humbled. Fancy snoots would not like it because its not fancy. We had plenty of rooms and space to move around. Host should provide an information sheet on how to use things in the house. Gas heat, TV - VCR did not work, what to do when checking out. Lock doors? Key place meant. Fire pit was hard to start. Internet would be nice. Deer running through the yard and very quiet. We had a great experience, we will come back. Thanks
