Another of the UNESCO heritage sites, these rock cut cave temples in Badami are very well preserved. There are a total of 4 caves, first and second dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vishnu respectively.

The Agastya Lake is surrounded by hills and reddish sandstone temples, said to have been built in 5th century. The waters of this lake are said to possess healing powers too. The sandstone rocks around this lake have gaps in them that act as pathways to climb up the nearby hill. This view is from Badami caves.
