Spacious flat in central Paris halfway between Opera and Le Marais, walking distance to both. The loft itself is on a quiet one-way street just 2 blocks away from Rue Montorguiel and one block away from the infamous Rue St. Denis. Marche Montorguiel is a lovely and lively pedestrian street with patisseries and cafe galore, plus fruit/veg shops, butcher, cheese shops, wine shops, etc. if you want to experience living Parisian life, this is a great area.
The loft itself has very spacious shared spaces - plenty of living/entertaining area. However, the bedroom situation should come with some caveats. The fourth "bedroom" is in the basement (which our kids called "the dungeon") down a precarious flight of twisty stairs and wedged between the staircase and gym equipment. We ended up not using it at all and never stepped into the basement after the tour. So in reality you have 3 bedrooms - 2 upstairs and 1 on the main floor. Only one bedroom has an attached bathroom, which has the only "bathtub" - not really usable as a bathtub because the tile grout is coming apart. The second bedroom on the second floor has to share the master bathroom or the half bathroom down the hallway, while the bedroom on the main floor has use of a full bathroom with shower on the floor (but not attached). I feel like this was not clearly indicated in any of the marketing materials, but an important point for families/friends intending to share the house, especially with kids, because it will require some logistics. We found that most of the plates and utensils had food particles or even butter/grease stuck on them and had to wash everything before using, and the master bathroom has a bit of a weird smell.
Overall, I would rate the shared living space of this flat as five star, but the sleeping/bedroom situation comparable to a 3 star hotel. If you're looking for true luxury accommodations, you're better off at a 5-star hotel, but if you want tons of shared entertaining space in a great local neighborhood, this is a great choice.
