A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT (AND A DECEPTION)
I had a huge problem ensuing from lack of attention and of courtesy by the host and her employee (the apartment caretaker)! They left me to solve a delicate problem by myself, without help, and then wanted to charge me extra costs.It all happened because I left the apartment forgetting one key in the keyhole from the inside (a very innocent mistake against which there was no previous advice given by the host or instruction). Noticing that the other key did not open or lock the door, I wrote to the host. The response was "For this, we need to call a professional Locksmith, this is annoying and costly". I responded saying that I was sorry, that I didn't know and that there was no instruction about that. At the end of the day, I wrote to the caretaker (a Portuguese lady to whom I wrote in Portuguese, being myself Brazilian), asking whether the problem had been solved, only to find out that I had been given a wrong phone number! I ask the host for the right number and write again. At this point it is already past 8 pm. The caretaker lady's only answer was: "No, you have to call the locksmith" and then sent me two contacts. I am Brazilian, but I speak and write French. Imagine if I were someone who could not master the language! I pleaded, driving her attention to the fact that I was with my 11 YEAR OLD SON! 9pm! I asked for any kind of help. SILENCE! I finally got a locksmith. No damage to the door that was not there before. No-one at check-in. No Air-conditioning. Abusive char
