Overwintering possible

Our house is in a quiet location about 300m from the never-crowded sandy beach. The town center on the Acheron River can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Here you will find taverns with Greek and international cuisine, as well as supermarkets.
For guests arriving by car there are many other beaches to explore nearby.
We can provide one of our cars for those arriving by plane.
The joint barbecue evenings, sometimes with live music, are very popular with our guests, as well as our extensive range of excursions and leisure activities, on land and on water. We drive our minibus to historical sights. We also offer various boat tours to the islands, as well as diving and snorkeling trips and water skiing, who can and who would like to try it all and much more in a pleasant family atmosphere

How to get there: By plane to Corfu, then by ferry (about 60 minutes) to Igoumenitsa, where we welcome you at the port, or by plane to Preveza, where we welcome you directly at the airport. We also offer a pick-up service to and from Thessaloniki, as well as a rental car service. In late autumn or early summer, flights to Corfu or Preveza are rarely offered, but you can get flights to Thessaloniki quite cheaply, so that it is often even cheaper to travel from there by rental car. Of course, we also pick you up in Thessaloniki at cost price. Travel time from Thessaloniki by car 2 hours 50 minutes. Or by car to Venice, Ancona or Bari, then by ferry to Igoumenitsa. From there it is only 50 km to Ammoudia.
On request, we can also organize your arrival and departure from here (taxi, flight, train, ferry and rental car)

Sports and Hiking: Hiking in Greece
In spring and autumn there are hikes in the lowlands and in the nearby mountains, possibly with overnight stays in huts. The monasteries of METEORA, VIKOSSCHLUCHT, the valley and springs of GLIKI are among others on our excursion program.

Boat tours in Greece:
From mid-April we drive you to the Ambracian Gulf, where encounters with dolphins are guaranteed.
you can also visit Paxos and Lefkada as well as beautiful coastal towns with us.

Sailing in Greece:
A 12m reinke, with and without a skipper, can be chartered from us
Skipper training, water skiing. A dinghy is available for beginners.

Diving in Greece:
Diving equipment compressor and boat available. Wreck diving is also offered.
Guided diving excursions

Cycling in Greece:
Guided bike tours whether flat, mountainous or extreme in untouched nature, hardly any traffic.
Tools and repair cellar available. Group tours are welcome

Beach and River: Ammoudia is a small fishing village situated at the mouth of the Acheron River. Small taverns line the banks of the river, where you can enjoy Greek and international cuisine. The fine sandy beach invites you to swim, whereby the sea here, due to the backwater of the river, is crystal clear and hardly salty, which not only the children are happy about.
