Welcome to The Margarette. Built in 1948 with all it’s charm intact Pass through the iron gate and into the lush gardens and you will find your private entrance to your Art Deco Bungalow. Spacious, comfortable and everything you need to make your stay unique. Everything Palm Desert has to offer at your fingertips. It’s quiet, tranquil. Centrally located, walking distance to El Paseo and Indian Wells. Coachella, Indio and Palm Springs is a short Uber ride away.

Room is approximately 300 sq ft with queen size bed, original built in vanity, shower, dining area and fully equipped kitchenette. Mini fridge, induction plate, microwave, toaster oven, stocked Keurig, Entrance and window overlooking the pool.

Pool was added last year she's 10 x 30 salt water pool with lounge chairs right outside your door. Extra charge to heat pool and or jacuzzi. Please inquire in advance regarding costs. Lots of covered patio space and places to sit and read. The backyard is SHARED with another unit on the property. Other unit holds 2 and I live in the main house. Never crowded and perfect setting. The days are beautiful but the one word that best describes the evenings here is magical.

Brand new BBQ installed with natural gas. Here it’s BBQ season all year round. Throw on some steaks and have poolside dinner. Nothing like Al Fresco dinning and no dinner reservations required.

Cute hideaway
This property is fantastic. I just wanted to relax and this was just the place. Very quiet and has everything you need. The pool and patio are very inviting. Definitely a getaway you will enjoy. Wonderful stay!!

Bought tickets to Powertrip Live. As soon as they were secured, every hotel in the area doubled or tripled their rates. Found this little gem and it was perfect. Within 15 minutes of Empire Polo grounds. Room is similar to a hotel room in size. Comfortable bed, sitting area, small table/chairs, kitchenette. Lots of artwork. Pool/hot tub and large outside patio with numerous lounge chairs. Host (Margret) was great. Asked about our plans and shared info. Very responsive. A number of small, personsl touches (wine and glasses as we entered the room, among others). Clearly evident she takes pride in the accommodations. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Very highly recommended. Thank you Margret for your hospitality.

Listing was very accurate in description and photos. Loved the saltwater pool but didn't use the jacuzzi. peaceful surroundings, relaxing environment! I visit palm springs every year and I will definitely be back to this location.

Amazing trip
The place was very cozy and clean, the whole pool and yard area was for us since the other unit was not rented . We enjoyed a lot . The Pool was heated for me by the property owner Margret who is a very nice lady. Wishing to go back again soon

Relaxing and perfect for Coachella
Great for a couples visit to Coachella! Clean place. Nice mini kitchen (microwave for late night frozen food snacks; coffee and toast in the morning). Pool is shared by two other units.

Peaceful courtyard garden
The garden courtyard made my stay great! The small pool was refreshing and just long enough for an invigorating few laps. In the garden I met and chatted with fellow travelers and the host. Lovely. The place is quiet but close to Palm Desert's concentration of restaurants and shops. Great location.

Just as we imagined.
Wonderful, unique property. Margret is a fantastic host. The room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The grounds (pool, spa, fire pit) were outstanding. Such a great spot to come home to after a busy day in the desert. Can’t wait to return.

Quaint Poolside Accommodation
Delightfully quaint accommodation in a lovely backyard garden/poolside setting. Peacefully beautiful in the AM and as evening approaches becomes more beautiful when the outdoor lighting comes on under clear night skies! Margret is a very responsive host and seamlessly deals with any concerns or questions. Her little welcoming touches await and are greatly appreciated! Dutchess (the resident cat) is the ‘puuurfect’ snuggling companion as you enjoy your morning coffee poolside. Love this property! Charming and clean. The Jacuzzi was amazing morning and night. The grounds were immaculate and the location near El Paseo was a real plus. Margaret was attentive and this place is a real gem.

Perfect stay at this Palm Desert oasis…the backyard was lovely and private and I really enjoyed the relaxing hot tub and evenings by the firepit under the stars. The owner Margret was very easy to communicate with and makes her guests feel special and welcome. The suite has many special touches and is well equipped with all that you may need, nice linens and comfy bed and sparkling clean. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

A TRUE Five Star Gem!
This amazing property exceeded our expectations. Typically, VRBO ad photos and dates and staged. This was NOT the case with this property. All the photos were accurate! The property was in pristine condition. The NEW pool/backyard area certainly make this property standout amongst it’s competitors. This property is also walking distance to cafe’s, shops and sight seeing areas! This is truly a FIVE star gem. We will certainly be back!!

Beautiful romantic get away! Room was stocked with everything you might need. Backyard with perfectly clean spa and in ground pool . Patio area decorated with colorful flowers and plants. Grill to use any time. We had an awesome time! Property manager very easy to work with, very friendly.

Great little nest!
Margaret’s Little studio is the perfect place for a few days. The check-in was flawless. Tucked way adjacent to a whimsically decorated pool that lights up very nicely at night, the studio is perfect for one person or couple. The bed was extremely comfortable for me and the place was perfectly need. The shower was nice and hot the selection of coffee and tea was greatly appreciated and of high-quality. Despite the unseasonable chilly Ness of my stay the studio remained cozy and warm thanks to a modern HVAC unit. Overall this was an 11 out of 10.
