"This property is in a convenient location and once was very nice but has, unfortunately, not been well maintained. The terrace had 5 cm of standing water due to a drainage issue and cans of cigarette butts and so was unusable. The overall cleanliness was not good when we arrived. We complained and they did send someone to make it a bit better thus three stars instead of two. We have stayed in several Dutch short term rentals and this one wasn’t up to the usual standard."

The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the oven and hob worked well. "Budget hotel currently undergoing a refurb as it desperately needs one! Check in is next door at the Campanile, and was dealt with efficiently. Rooms were clean but very, very tired. As workers were refurbing one floor the stairs and landings were dirty. Restaurant at the Campanile was good but closes early."

"The facilities of the hotel are excellent. The only shame is the woodland cabins appear to be removing the kids playground. The reception staff at check in weren't very helpful, we had a tiring train journey and just needed a run around for the boys but they suggested outside of the hotel, they didn't realise they had a playground. Outside of the hotel, little Switzerland is lovely in the woods but there needed better pedestrian access from the hotel. The pool indoors is great, we had kids so couldn't g outside, but meant the indoors was great for the kids. The robot was a bit of a shame, we wanted to use for ice cream but if the phone is on mute you won't know it's there and we ended up with it an hour late, melted and no refund. Restaurant in the hotel - all the food is lovely, very tasty and something for most people."
