I've lately stayed with my family at Hyatt Place for our trip to Ottawa. It was a bad experience all along which really put a damper on our vacation. The hotel was clean service was poor. Here are the issues that we experienced during our two night stay at the hotel: 1. We had booked our room a few days before through Expedia, fully paid for the hotel room and received our confirmation from Expedia. We called on our way to inform the hotel that we might arrive later that night. To our surprise, the reception staff told us the hotel was overbooked, there was no guarantee that they'd give us a room and whoever checks in first would get the room. We reminded them that we had booked via Expedia and our reservation was confirmed. The answer was: "this is not how it works". They tried to blame overbooking on Expedia and offered to get us a room in a hotel nearby. When we checked in that night, reception staff said we were lucky to have a room and it's only because someone had cancelled earlier. 2. Both nights, people next door to our room were loud and noisy and we couldn't sleep until 2 AM. We called the reception, explained the situation and ask them to do something but nothing changed. 3. The hotel offered free breakfast but this was poorly managed. They ran out toast and it took more than half an hour to refill it. I wanted to make tea but no hot water was available. I had to ask one of the servers to bring it. Overall, it was a frustrating experience for my family and me.

The breakfast was from till 10am, came at 9:30 nothing available and kitchen staff no where to be found…. I seem they just wanted the area closed off. Ended up going to Tim Horton Main desk staff was friendly room was nice.

Nice to see less waste than usual at hotels. Shampoo/conditioner/shower gel were in dispensers in shower instead of little plastic bottles, cups for water and coffee in room were glass/ceramic and best of all, almost all of the dishes and cutlery in breakfast area were reusable. We had a great stay here. It was clean, comfortable, and modern. My husband can’t have wheat but there were plenty of things he could eat at breakfast. We will stay here again next time we’re in Ottawa.

We enjoyed the restaurant next door and access to the pool. The beds were comfortable as well. We have mobility issues and we were unable to access the handicapped parking near the front door. I am sorry but it is time, hotels started increasing the number of accessible parking spaces!

One bedroom with King is quite spacious. Rooms are fairly modern. Hotel property and room was very clean clean.

I recently stayed at this awesome hotel which I think you'll love too! It's pretty new and located in a really peaceful area, away from all the noise and chaos. Oh, and let me tell you about their complimentary breakfast - it was absolutely amazing! They had so many options to choose from, I was really impressed. Plus, the staff at the front desk were super helpful and friendly.

very nice hotel, staff was amazing would recommend to all our family and friends. Breakfast was very tasty loves our suit especially the size of the room only one concern was an area at the foot of one of the beds in our room (600) that appeared to be poop stains. Feel this could have been from last costumers using the room maybe changed a poopy diaper on the bed. We are very understanding people and realize things are sometimes missed. we just removed the top cover on the bed.

Pet friendly hotel which we appreciated. They have a lobby bar with a small food menu that was very helpful as we were travelling with our dog and couldn't find a local pet friendly patio. My only suggestion would be to hire cooking staff for the food. The front desk attendant had to cook the food and it came to us cold and not well prepared. Room was quiet and clean.
