Booked a condo through Vrbo for a weekend business conference with six women I have never met before. When I initially booked the reservation, I had three women wanting to share the condo, so I booked a three bedroom condo that occupied up to six guests. I had three more women want to stay with us, so we added them and agreed to share rooms and beds to save money.
I added everyone's email addresses to the list for the booking, that way everyone could get a copy of the reservation. I read some reviews about having difficulty checking in, and didn't want to have this problem, so I emailed the owner and asked for a contact number incase I needed help checking in. He gave me the number, and I called the day before check in, to ask about parking and the gate. I mentioned we had six women coming in at different times, and after my conversation with the caretaker of the property, I received an email from the owner of the condo letting me know owner that I booked for three people not six, and I need to change the booking number in my reservation and there will be an additional charge for three more people, because six people will use more water and electricity, even though the booking said up to six people. So I contacted Evolve, the property management company, and they said I was fine and there was no extra charge or problem.
In all of the rules and info you get, for the condo, it lets you know you will not be sent the code to the condo until right before you check in. On the day of check in, I arrived five minutes uses early and sat in front of condo waiting for email to give me the code to get in. When 4 pm came and then 4:03, and I still didn't get the code to get in, I called the number I was given to the property caretaker and he said he would contact owner about email. Still no email, so by ten after four, I called caretaker again, and he had to give me his code so we could get in, because the owner never sent it.
The owner finally sends me a copy of something he says I was sent on the 19th of November. Where it was sent, I have no idea, but why would the code be sent to me so early? And why wouldn't it be sent to my email like everything else was?
Then, when reading the check out instructions on the info sent to me, it was totally different than what the book says in the condo.
When it tells you to stick the trash outside in the white bin, there is not white bin or anywhere that looks like a place you can put your trash.🤷♀️
