Portage Lake is an all-sport lake that is connected to Lake Michigan through a channel. Portage lake is great for sailing, fishing, motorized and non-motorized boating, swimming and watching the sunset.

AMENITIES INCLUDE: central air, high speed wifi, Smart TVs with Amazon Fire Stick. Everything is full stocked and set for your stay!

The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday meal prep. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glass, etc. Drip coffee maker is available for guest use. Additional kitchen items include dishwasher, icemaker, griddle, and toaster. Also included: bed linens, bath towels, basic cleaning supplies and soaps (not personal soaps), and a starter set of paper products.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Home is right on Sandy Portage Lake, what more do you need? If you’re looking to travel, it’s about 20 minutes north of Manistee and 50 South of Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Lake Michigan beachfront is only 5 minutes to Onekama Beach. Onekama has ton of small-town charm with an EZ Mart for almost anything you’d need, or a Meijer is about 15 minutes away.

Check in time is after 4:00PM and check out time is before 10:00AM. Please note that we are not able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures from May – September. Any request for additional time will depend on availability of the rental and an additional fee may be added to the stay.

ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.

DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.
