Over all stay was ok. Shower door fell off the rails and leaking water from shower. Hotel rooms are showing there age. Nice pool. Food is ok but limited options. Did not like having to wait for approval from cleaning staff upon check out. This could be handle different. Won’t stay again as there are other options in the area

Property conditions are very poor with no upkeep. Wiring, a/c, and pool plumbing are Gerry rigged to work. Serious decline over the years since it reopened 15-18 years ago. Elevator door takes 2-3 tries to close. Linen was very old. Extras blankets and towels cost a surcharge! Many pool tiles are broken and in disrepair. Food was poor and overcharged.

Positives: Staff are very attentive and friendly. Food taste great at the main restaurant. Pool good enough. Negatives; rooms are so dusty with lots of mosquitoes. The bathrooms are dirty, the bed, curtains, bed sheets and towels are so old, seems they never replaced them since the hotel was built. Hotel and surroundings are in disrepair. Pictures from the web site was misleading. They were old photos from eras ago. Will not stay in this hotel again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly; however, the place is a little run down, it looks like they are trying to fix it up. The gym equipment is old and broken. The coffee shop and Moby dicks bar is closed. They do not have live band every night. The band (or should I say 2 people singing karaoke) only plays on weekends. The pool was nice but again wear and tear is showing. The swim up bar was not in use. Water in room comes and goes and sometimes only hot water. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was big, the couch was comfortable.

Keeps Going Downhill
I've been frequenting this property for the last 7 years and the condition has been continually deteriorating. It is in bad need of refurbishment/remodeling. The customer service has also become worse over the years. We invited 20 family members to join us for dinner in the main restaurant. The front desk told us that the 6 children were not allowed on the property unless we paid an extra 2,000 pesos ($45 USD). After a few minutes of arguing, we said just add it to our room bill. That was not acceptable. We had to pay the manager in cash. We then waited in the otherwise empty restaurant for 45 minutes and received no service even though there was a bartender and 2 servers watching us from 20 feet away. So we left and went across the street to Harley's Restaurant where we received such great service that we frequented that establishment for the rest of our stay. It looks like we'll have to find a new place to stay in Barretto.

Our guest feedback is always valued, and we use this feedback to strive for continual improvement to our resort.Your viewpoint is important to us, and we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the service and facilities of the hotel during your stay from November 1-4, 2022.In regard to the condition of the building, we are currently undertaking renovation of the building and rooms and we have recently renovated all of our poolside rooms to new condition.With regard to the Day Tour Package, it’s the policy of the hotel to charge Ph500.00/person in which Ph350.00 is consumable for food. This policy is designed to restrict the number of people using our pool and facilities so that we can ensure our staying guests are not overburdened by outside guests and they are free to enjoy the facilities that they have paid for. In regard to that, the standard charge for your group would be Php9,500.00 (Php500.00 per person) if they wanted to use the pool and other facilities. All rooms are in poor shape. Every room bed sheets need to be toss out. Pillows need to be toss out. Towel need to be toss out and all need to be replaced. A/C need to be maintain. TVs channels need to be repaired and see they are in good working order. This use to be a nice hotel but now it is on a 2.5 Stars.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone
This hotel is bad bad bad, their food and drink prices are way out of line and you don’t have a choice because you are not allowed to bring any food or beverage from outside. The rooms on the beach front has broken door locks, the taps are worn and the showers are moldy. Upon checkout I asked my 2 suitcases be collected from the room, when my transport arrived the suitcases were not there. I asked the reception lady what’s happening, she said she forgot. My friend who had traveled with me and prepaid his room left after staying one night only as he was most upset with the condition of his room. Lastly, this entire hotel is in need of a makeover

The staff and service was good. The only issue with this hotel is the amount of mosquitoes in the room. Recieved many mosquitoes bites in the 2 days there.

Arrived and no towels in the room - got some after asking. Room was tired and in need of refreshing, but the aircon worked. Shower had little pressure and not much hot water. Throughout 3 day stay there were very few pool towels available which was surprising considering how few guests were staying. Many items missing from menu - a board outside the kitchen showed 86 items unavailable, even bananas which is pretty surprising considering the location of the hotel.... Insufficient kitchen stsff meant orders took an interminable time to arrive and food was luke warm when it did. Service was poor and staff had to make up excuses for missing items. Hotel management clearly do not care at this branch of the Wild Orchid.

Advertisement misleading.
They advertise it to have free breakfast but when you book they take it off, bit misleading. I have emailed hotels.com about this and they said its the hotels responsibility, should at least action it when there is already enough complaint. Wouldnt be using hotels.com again.

Ocean view rooms are by the beach separated from the main bldg which is fine. Restaurant by the beach is good. Beach offers wonderful morning swim on the Philippine Sea. Plenty of water activities offered. Lacking of some finer amenities.... bring your own hair dryer if that’s important to you. There are no water glasses for brushing your teeth but 2 water bottles provided. Adequate for a simply good beach time.

This is the place to be, great internet signal everywhere the property. Biggest swimming pool in town. You can walk to the beach or stay by the nicest and cleanest pool around. Great food and good food $ prices and food service. Olongapo can be reach by jepney for 15 pesos or tricycle for 250 pesos. I love this place and will stay again next year. I got my money's worth in this place. Wild Orchid Beach Resort RULES !!

Overall: Adequate, but serious management issues exist. Good: Room design, porter staff was friendly, pool design was good. Bad: A/C could barely cool room during day, food service was extremely slow (frequently over one hour wait), wait staff said that kitchen was horribly under manned, wait staff inattentive, (many customers yelling and clapping hands to get service), food quality was fair but inconsistent, wifi was extremely slow and often completely inaccessible, staff was unable to provide reliable wifi, laptop froze with likely infection from their network, room floors very dirty (needed mopping, but wait staff only swept), workers complained of low pay.

Construction work was being performed in the lobby
The location was perfect, but new wood floors were being in stalled in the lobby and it was alot of banging first thing in the morning. I checked out 4 days early due to the loud notice without being refunded do to booking though expedia.
