「Our stay here was beyond fantastic. A lot of thought was put into the design and comfort of the apartment. It was well equipped, everything was in working order, and extremely comfortable to spend time in. It was in a great location for driving to sites on the Golden Circle. There is a restaurant nearby, Restaurant Varma, that is in walking distance and it's a reasonable drive to Reykjavik or the Keflavik airport. 」

「Me and my partner stayed here for 7 days, the property was absolutely perfect. The location is great it’s easy to find and tucked away but also 10 minutes from town (Selfoss) and 50 minutes from the south coast sites. 「Auch wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Check-In hat reibungslos geklappt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war immer freundlich, Anfragen wurden umgehend beantwortet. Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage, um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Sie liegt abgelegen und trotzdem dicht an der Straße. Man hat absolut seine Ruhe und ist für sich. Einziges Manko war leider, dass es extrem hellhörig ist. Wir würden aber trotzdem gern wieder kommen 😊 Erwähnenswert ist...

「Grund is truly a gem. It's a beautiful and very comfortable house in a quiet and sparse "neighborhood". It was such a treat to watch the sun set over the Icelandic landscape from the sauna and watch the aurora right from the house (it's a fairly good viewing point with lots of open sky, dark enough though you could drive another 45 min away to be in a totally dark zone). Thorsteinn is a very responsive host and we were in touch during the whole stay. I will be recommending Grund to my friends...

「Lovely location. Wonderful main area and kitchen. Food was great! Hotel rooms (turf houses) are teeny - 1 bedroom house had nowhere to put luggage nor any cabinets to unpack. Bathroom had no place for toiletries. Minimal personal items such as no conditioner, no robes, no slippers. The advertised private thermal pools are actually shared with two other units. Since so little needed to be done to upgrade comfort, this could have been a 5-star experience, but didn’t quite feel that way. 」

「We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages.」

「The property was in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The interior of the cabin was cozy and warm while the outside was winter winter.
