This is a minimalist hotel. Very clean, comfortable bed and decent breakfast. Not a lot of space in the room. Good for overnight stays but I wouldn’t stay here long term.

Rooms are very small. Even the elevators where on the small side. Very basic decor. Breakfast options were very limited. Front desk staff was very friendly and informative.

The customer service was top tier. I truly enjoyed my stay. I wish I could remember one woman’s name she worked front desk the 3pm-11pm shift absolutely loved her. The breakfast was great. Will stay again.

Great property and clean rooms. There were a lot of choices to eat at and the it felt safe. The pool was not the best and there was no jacuzzi but the other amenities were wonderful.

There were four USB ports in my room and I thought I would be able to charge my phone overnight but none of them worked and my phone died. Also, in the room there is a small refrigerator which did not keep my stuff very cold, but did keep it cool. The room did not have a microwave or a coffee pot and while there was coffee available in the lobby all the time I like to wake up and have a cup of coffee before I step out of the Door. breakfast was not served until 7AM So I cannot comment on breakfast as I had to be next-door at a Pickleball tournament at 7 AM so I did not get the breakfast experience either. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is fairly clean. They do allow dogs and I did find some dog hairs in some places and the shower seemed to have some hair in it but overall I would say I felt pretty comfortable with the cleanliness of the facilities, there is shopping nearby and lots of restaurant choices nearby, and it is quick and easy access to the turnpike.

Love the simplicity of this hotel.
We love everything about this sleek hotel, this is our 4 th stay on our way to California. Only things that were not good was the sausage and biscuit, the baking soda was very strong in the biscuit and very salty, I fortunately my husband had a stomach ache for hours after eating it. Also the omelet was supposed to be vegetable and egg white… no veggies to be found in mine or anyone else’s that I spoke to. Totally tasteless. But that won’t stop us from staying at the Avid!!! Maybe someone could change the biscuit recipe or change it to an English muffin instead.

So so hotel, will not stay again!
The hotel was okay, nothing special. Unfortunately we stayed during cold temperatures and the heater in not one but two different rooms didn't work. We ended up with a loud rattling noise all night long. Front desk, both night time & morning crew, stated they were sorry but they had no maintenance person on staff. We ended up checking out after 1 night. The rooms are small as well and definitely needed more attention to cleaning in the bathroom! Would not recommend.

Budget friendly hotel with quality amenities
Avid is well located, easy to access area amenities. Complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar. Well stocked snack bar. Tile floors make it a better fit for warmer months in the OKC area.

Very clean with friendly staff. I have stayed at hotel/motels with pricing ranging from around $60 to $200 per night range. Price was not always indicative of factors such as cleanliness, courteous and friendly staff, amenities, safe areas, quietness, etc. this was very strong in pricing, cleanliness, courteous and friendly staff, safe area and quietness. It is not a very large motel nor sides it offer a lot of amenities. If you are looking for a good night’s rest at a reasonable price, with all bids of restaurants, shopping, recreation within walking distance, this is motel is an excellent choice. If you all the conveniences we spoiled Americans seem to favor, I could not recommend it. As for me, circumstances and purpose drive my decisions on where to stay. This one is at the top for the stay with those looking for a good night’s rest and a great bargain. As an Okie, I am proud to know we stayed at the very first Avid Motel constructed and it’s in Oklahoma City - something I did not know until I checked in and the information was proudly on display. Would have rated it the same regardless of its name or history.
