Awesome location!

This house is literally steps from the beach! Awesome view from upstairs balcony, as well. Owner was very responsive and explained everything in detail prior to our arrival. We enjoyed our stay!

Beach house

Property was amazing and looked exactly like the photos. It felt like a home away from home. Mary the owner was amazing and very accommodating. The rooftop was my favorite place with the fire pit and sunset. Will definitely be back!

The best

It started with communication with Mary May. She is very responsive to concerns and questions. I felt that she wanted our stay to be the best possible, ever. If felt great to have that kind of attention, and then the house was in perfect position to use the beach. The upper deck was perfect for the afternoons when it warmed up. Beds were extremely comfortable.I would definitely go back to this place in the future.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

Thank you Mary May for providing such a wonderful place to stay while in Oceanside. The house was very clean and comfortable! Great location, close to everything on the Strand. The beach is right around the corner from the house. We would end the day on the gorgeous patio overlooking the ocean. It was hard to leave at check out! We will definitely be back!

Everything We Could Possibly Need

We have stayed at many properties, both in and outside of the United States, and this was the best experience with the owner going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. Regrettably the weather did not cooperate or it would have been the perfect trip. But that even demonstrated the forethought in having the umbrellas, chairs -- just everything we needed to be able to enjoy the soccer games despite some rain and cold weather. The house is nicely decorated, with a well stocked kitchen, just a few minutes walk from the water. The highlight for us was the roof patio, with a great fire pit and superb views. The roof patio and sitting room on the second floor was a great place for our granddaughter and her teammates to talk and play games.

Everything we wanted!

This property had everything you need for a beach vacation. From the location, to the views. There were games, books, bikes, beach entertainment, chairs, and much much more! The kitchen was well stocked too. Our favorite was the upstairs deck space. We played games during the day and enjoyed the fire pit at night. Mary was great as week. She was very accommodating, responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Great location and nice updates

My family and I spent the week at this property and had a great time. The proximity to strand beach is hard to beat. And the deck/view were exactly what we needed. The property has nice amenities and upgrades, and was fairly clean with the exception of the sheets and the closet spaces. Aside from the master bedroom, there wasn’t anywhere to store anything or unpack, so the kids had to live out of their suitcases. It did come furnished with towels, kitchen supplies and lots of beach toys and games. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Great get-away spot

The property manager couldn't have been more accommodating, helpful and easy to work with. The upstairs deck is the star of this property, many evenings outside with a nice fire, dinner prepared on the grill and the sounds of the ocean. For those sensitive to scented products, I advise you let the manager know in advance/request various candles/plug in fresheners be removed. ( I booked very last minute and so the manager had no opportunity to do so) Overall, it is lovely space, easy access to the beach (though limited views from the deck), and I will definitely be returning.

Great beachside place!

We were 3 friends staying here and it was perfect for our group. The outdoor space and fire pit was lovely and we spent most of our time out there. The owner also fully equips this place - anything you can imagine is there - coffee grinder, Bluetooth speaker, extra blankets, etc. Both beds are super comfy and there are three couches total - 2 with pullouts- so plenty of spots to hang out. Also, lots of parking at the house. The only (somewhat) odd thing is that both bedroom suites are side by side and you have to walk through one to get to the other. The one at the far end has a separate door to the outside, so you could leave and reenter at the other end of the house if you need to get to the kitchen without disturbing the middle room. This wasn’t an issue for us because we were friends, but if you’re traveling as two couples and want separate spaces, it might be awkward. We loved it here and definitely want to book again!

Location can’t be beat!

Fem the beginning, Mary May was super helpful. Gave info on things to do, places to eat. Had some decorations up when we got there for my husband’s bday. House was what was described. Enough space for us and our two kids. They enjoyed having the upstairs area to themselves. Outdoor deck was fantastic!The views were beautiful and we spent a lot of time up there eating and relaxing when not at the beach. I would suggest stringing outside lights around the rails for more of a festive look but that’s it. The adult bikes are a bit used and not very comfortable so you may want to consider bringing yours or just renting from down the strand. Tons of options to eat and you can walk all over. The farmers market and sunset market were great! We loved being able to come and go from the house to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

The absolute BEST vacation rental. Plenty of beach, parking, everything you could ask for...Boys went to the beach at 8 am, set up awnings and chairs, girls brought coolers down in wagon. Looooong days on the beach.Mary May was fantastic. Responded quickly and always friendly and helpful. We could not have had a better trip O'side rocks!

Incredible Beachfront Location – Relaxing, Well-Stocked, and Comfortable

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront home! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the sand—and it delivers a peaceful, toes-in-the-sand beach experience. The upper deck was a highlight, where you can watch waves break and feel the ocean breeze. Whether it was coffee, drinks, or games by the fire pit, it was a great spot to relax and see the view.The home is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. From kitchen essentials to beach gear, bikes, and games, all we needed was there. We spent most of our time upstairs, set for gathering. It has a BBQ, full bathroom, mini fridge, and space to relax, eat, and enjoy the view.We loved the location off The Strand. While The Strand is lively with foot, bike, and vehicle traffic, this home is tucked 50 feet back in a quiet alley, offering privacy and a buffer from activity—ideal for us.The beach proximity is perfect—you can grab the cart, umbrellas, and chairs and be set up in under two minutes. We picked our spot daily, set up, and could come and go. We chose a spot in view of the deck to watch it from the house.The downstairs space worked great for sleeping, getting ready, and prepping meals. The layout supports a beach-centered vacation—quiet downstairs, fun and views upstairs.Check-in was easy, and the owner was great with communication. It’s clear they made the home welcoming and guest-ready.We’re eager to return and recommend this property for a laid-back, beachfront getaway with home comforts.

Easy to access. Very clean for the most part, although we had to deal with annoying drain flies in the kitchen and common area, and there was a roach in the bathtub. Although a bit cluttered, we enjoyed all of the beach gear, Games, and extra amenities. Ample parking (rare for beach homes). Plenty of linens and towels, and free washer and dryer on sight so you can pack light!s

Great place with everything you'll need

My husband and I stayed at Mary's in March to celebrate his birthday. Being from SoCal originally, we wanted a place where we could entertain our relatives and friends but also be near all the action of Oceanside. The area is very walkable and you can easily do a lot without a vehicle. The beach is steps away but the great thing about Mary's place is, you are not right on the Strand but just a street over. I would definitely stay again.

Awesome Family Thanksgiving

The beach house was absolutely lovely. Had beautiful views of the beach from the large deck on 2nd level. So relaxing and peaceful at night, just gathering around the fire pit talking. Everyone had a great time ! The owner was very accommodating and nice....good communication. i would definitely rent again.
