Step inside this retreat just around the corner from the restaurants, shopping and entertainment options of East Beach, Oak Island. This beautiful 3BR/2BA condo is sure to give you that soothing coastal vibe with its colorful decor and ample living area. Step outside onto the condo's expansive covered porch for a complete view of one of the largest swimming pools on the island as well as the community hot tubs. At Smooth Sailing, you are less than a 5 minute walk from a couple of restaurants, a grocery store and the beautiful sandy beaches! Also, you are only 20 minutes from Southport, a popular filming location for television and movies, and approximately 35 - 40 minutes from Wilmington and North Myrtle Beach.

Don’t want to carry your items up and down the flights of stairs? No worries! There is a community elevator to make arriving and departing easy! Also, linens and cleaning are included in base price.

Great location and HUGE pool

We had a nice stay at this condo. The location was great to walk to the beach and other local shops. Nice deck to sit out on looking at the pool. The pool is HUGE. 2 Hot tubs, 1 was heated but neither timer for the jets was working. Well stocked kitchen and sturdy dining table. Due to unforseen medical emergencies there was a delay in our clean linens arriving. The owner was very apologetic as was the linen service and we did get compensated fairly for that. Some things I always appreciate seeing in a review are the comfort of the beds and couches. Unfortunately these would get a 2-3 out of 5 stars. Our queen bed was stiff and CREAKY! Anytime one of us moved it would wake the other person up. The couches looked to be in good shape but I believe the large couch had a pull out bed (not for use) so a board was placed under the cushions to keep them elevated. It was NOT comfortable 😬. Lots of pros about this condo location and other amenities but furniture definitely needs updated to more comfortable seating/sleeping arrangements!

Annual Summer Trip

This is our third year and we love staying here. Always clean and convenient to beach, grocery store and local attractions. This year my nephew joined us with his long time girlfriend and they celebrated their engagement with us, so it was extra special this year!!! Also the Russell’s are the best hosts.. Thank you!

Clean, close to beach condo

Our family vacationed at this Oak Island condo July 2023. We found the accommodations as listed/described. Great communication with manager/owners. Food Lion within walking distance, restaurants & beach store. Clean room, pool & short walk on path to beach. Very nice summer vacation.

Perfect beach getaway

Our family of four loved this condo! It was spacious, very clean, and in the perfect location. We especially loved the complex's pool. I didn't realize when I booked that it's an end unit, which means a nice amount of sunlight. Highly recommended!

Very nice place!

The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was very well maintained. Owners have kept the condo updated and it was very spacious. Definitely recommend this place for families too! The owners were so nice and great to work with. It was a short walk to the beach and access was very convenient.

Comfortable

Everything that was needed for a wonderful comfortable stay . King size bed was very comfortable. The place is bigger than how you see in the pictures. Closeness to beach and pool. Stores close. Great restaurants near .. all you could want.

Family vacation

This property is better than advertised. It is absolutely beautiful. Carpet looked liked it had just been put down. Location couldn't be better. 2 minute walk to the beach one way and the grocery store, ice cream and beach store the other. We will definitely be back again

Lovely place

The place was absolutely perfect. My wife was very pleased with how clean everything was. The location is perfect. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, Food Lion. Pool was great. Plenty of parking. Loved it!

Great condo and convenient to everything!

We stayed at this condo at the end of March 2022. Condo was very clean and check in was very easy. Short walk to the beach for easy access. Convenient to all restaurants, shops and grocery stores! Would definitely stay here again!

Would rent it again!

Big, clean condo well located between the beach and a grocery store. Used it for family overflow on Easter weekend. We live nearby, but would consider renting it for ourselves just to enjoy the beach and the sunsets.

A week at the beach

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo on Oak Island. The unit is more spacious than the pictures capture. Parking is directly under the unit with one flight of stairs conveniently right there since it is an end unit. Elevator is a further walk, but a nice convenience if you don't want to haul a heavy cooler or something up and down the stairs. The linens and towels included come individually shrinkwrapped in plastic in laundry bags- wonderful! You return them all to the bags dirty at the end of your stay. The bedspreads were not clean, but get returned to the beds with mattress covers in place at the end/beginning of your stay. Unit was clean- could use a "deep clean" to wash bedskirts, shower curtain liner, etc. The washer and dryer in unit were a great asset and made it easy to clean anything we needed during our stay- well except king comforter didn't fit (visibly soiled upon arrival)-we opted not to use it. Loved the location, nearby restaurants, grocery, and shops. It is a short walk to the beach with a small parking area so you don't have to walk all the way from condo to beach for setup if you've got kiddos and lots of gear. Tom and Linda were great to deal with, responsive and friendly - a plumber needed to fix something during our week and he was in and out quickly. Pool was convenient, nice shallow entry on both sides. We plan to come back next year!

Great property - great vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation at this condo. It’s a great location - a short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. The condo was clean, nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Parking under the condo for multiple cars and a great storage shed to keep beach chairs. Highly recommend- looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful Week

The condo was just as it was described in the description. I feel the location is ideal as it’s near stores and restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. Both Tom and Lynda were wonderful to work with during our stay. The kitchen had anything I needed which was very nice. The balcony is a good size with plenty of seating. I would definitely stay here again if we return to OKI.

Smooth Sailing Condo

The condo was very clean, nicely decorated with close proximity to beach. Parking was great, under condos, out of sun. Enjoyed the pool area. The owners, Tom and Linda, we’re easy to contact with quick replies. We Enjoyed our week at Smooth Sailing.
