It’s the little things

We had originally booked Captains Quarters for one night, however (stuff happens) and we needed a couple extra nights. Joann was very accommodating and we are so glad we got the extra nights. We appreciate the thoughtfulness that greets you as soon as you say hello or open the door. It’s nice to know we have a go to place next time we come this way!

The only thing that would have made this better is if we could have stayed longer! If we are ever back in the area or decide to get away, the Captain’s Quarters will be at the top of the list! And we’ll bring the boat!

Perfection

My husband and I visited the Captain's Quarters for our 58th Wedding Anniversary. Our host Joann and Steve were most welcoming. The Captain's Quarters is a perfect quiet and peaceful We loved the room, the dock In fact we loved everything about it. Would love to go again.

Amazing Property and People

From the prompt communication preparing us for our stay to the personalized welcome message; JoAnn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. In addition to the amazing host, the location was perfect as well. The ability to bookend each day sitting in a chair, watching nature in and on the water was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

On A Canal

Captains’ Quarters is a nice quiet getaway. Comfortable for one or a couple. The hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Many good restaurants and activities within 30 minute drive. Would recommend if you’re interested in seeing a launch or spending some time at the Canaveral National Seashore.

Natural Beauty

If you don't want to wake up to a glimpse of nature's wonders, pick somewhere else to stay. The quarters were set up for everything we could possibly need and JoAnn was a superb hostess. The best part was the ability to sit by the water and unplug from technology and enjoy the natural world! I highly recommend the Captain’s Quarters to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Amazing Captain’s Quarters

Wonderful little guesthouse perfectly located between Daytona, Cape Canaveral and Orlando. Very clean, very friendly hosts, and had everything we needed. Quiet and relaxing! Great place for a getaway!

If you love to fish this is a great spot on the channel with a variety of species. Some great places for dining as well & you couldn’t ask for better host! They go above & beyond with all the necessities to complete your stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

If you are looking for a quiet place this is the perfect place. They were so friendly, my husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. The room was so cute and so clean. They left us a bottle of wine, water and coffee. This really is a great place.

Great Property- Even Better Hosts!!

We had a great stay. We arrived for Biketoberfest and were greeted by Jo Ann upon arrival. She was very pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. We had an issue with our motorcycle (dead battery) and I can’t say enough about how helpful and accommodating Jo Ann and Steve were to us- simply just good people. The property was immaculate and very cozy. The neighborhood was nice, and quiet. I will definitely be back to stay at this property.

Perfect little getaway spot!

My wife and I have stayed here several times and every time we leave, we spend the entire drive home planning our next trip. The room is spotless and filled with tons of cute little touches (including a personalized welcome sign and a small bag of treats). The location is fantastic - far enough away from the “bigger” cities to feel nice and secluded, but close enough that tons of activities and restaurants are a short drive away. Pro tip - the Garlic in New Smyrna is quite possibly our favorite restaurant in the whole world. Finally, if you have a boat, the location is perfect for that too. Small no-wake canal off of a no-wake portion of the intracoastal with very minimal tidal swing. Tying up couldn’t be easier, and no need to worry about the boat getting beat against the dock while you sleep.

Nice waterfront location, close to many area attractions and activities

We enjoyed our stay. The property provided all of the special touches we needed and an easy launch and access to the Indian River for paddling. It is close to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Cape and all of the conveniences of groceries and restaurants. It is a smaller space but perfect for those wanting privacy and/or a nice, convenient place to call home while you enjoy the beauty of the area. The hosts were wonderful.

Cute nautical spot on the water!

Very cozy, warm and comfortable. Coffee, tea, water and welcome snack bag with name on board was thoughtful. Fishing poles were also available. Only part that may be a slight bothersome to a light sleeper is the in-wall a/c unit was a tad noisy as it turned on/off frequently. I would stay again and would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you!

Peaceful, beautiful, and CLEAN

If you want peace & quiet, this is your place. Sitting outside watching fish, turtles, and manatees swim by is the most excitement we got! Host is incredibly tuned in to her guests needs, space is beautiful & so clean! Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful stay!!!

My husband and I had a great time at JoAnn and Steven’s cozy place on the water!! We were down for Jeep Beach in Daytona and were thrilled to find an affordable, clean and quiet place to return to every night! We loved sitting out by the water with our coffee in the morning and again in the evening before turning in. Perfect place for a couple’s getaway ❤️

Privacy and tranquility

Exceeded our expectations. Very peaceful, beautiful view of the canal right outside your door. Very private, had the lower level to ourselves. Perfect getaway with nautical theme

Relax and Unwind

Captains Quarters was a great place to relax and unwind. Just walk out the door and you’re standing at the channel, with comfortable seating or make use of the fishing gear and the grill provided. JoAnn and Steve are the perfect hosts. The place is clean, bed is comfy, and JoAnn took care to provide so many personal touches. Steve gave us great suggestions on restaurants! We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you JoAnn and Steve for your hospitality! We’ve already decided we’ll be back.

Great fishing!

We had a fabulous time fishing right outside our room. Fun catching so many different species, even stingrays! Our host were very accommodating with fishing gear & many nice extra touches in the room. Limited space for clothing so pack light & enjoy!

In town for a wedding

I was in town for a wedding just a few miles away. The unit was clean and had everything that I needed. It sits right along a canal that leads to the intercoastal waterway. Very Peaceful. The host was very friendly.

A Little Heaven on Earth

There isn’t enough space to write about all the wonderful things about this rental. Our hostess was so accommodating and helped so much with restaurants, launches, things to do,etc. This little gem was perfect from the cleanliness to the decor. Peaceful, restorative, our new family favorite!

My wife and I visited the Captain’s Quarters for her 30th birthday weekend and had the most wonderful stay! JoAnn was even kind enough to allow my mom to set up some birthday decor as a surprise for my wife when we arrived. JoAnn and Steve gave perfect instructions for entry and how to use the nearby boat ramp for our boat. The boat ramp is very close and there is a bait shop between the canal and the ramp, so if you have a boat, definitely bring it along! The room itself is so cozy, perfectly spotless, and accommodating of all our needs for a weekend away. My wife’s favorite part was hot coffee on the peaceful dock in the early morning. It was perfectly tranquil- EXACTLY what we were looking for. We will most definitely visit again!

Quaint Calm on the Canal

My husband and I enjoyed the Captain's Quarters immensely! Our favorite part was sitting on the dock watching the boats go by! We enjoyed a fun and busy 4th of July and loved driving back to the peace and quiet. JoAnn, the owner, thought of everything and her personal touch shined through. We highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again!
