Lovely building could use a little redecoration the bar and restaurant was so nice with an open fireplace food delicious but very large portions that must result in a lot of waste staff helpful and friendly would definitely visit again

Lovely 1 night stay

Stayed 1 night & everything was very good. Free parking, easy check in & the rooms where spotlessly clean. We had a full english breakfast the next morning which was amazing value for money & very tasty.

We were well impressed with the room and the service we got. The food on site was fantastic. We will be recommending our friends and family to stay here when they are in the area. Next time we are in the area we will be staying again and bring our dog with us as well.

The property and surrounding are beautiful the staff friendly and helpful the photos do not do justice to this place the only thing I would put mattress protection on all beds will definitely stay again

We stayed 1 night in December 2022. The building is beautiful, the staff friendly and accommodating, room was clean and nicely furnished, bed was super comfortable warm open fires in the restaurant and the food was excellent. I will stay again and recommend.

Lovely and peaceful. Excellent service.

Lovely, peaceful location and character building. Dog friendly. Wonderful staff and evening meal was delicious, very generous portions. Room was comfortable but needs some updating, some grubby marks but you could see they were working on refreshing the place. Overall, service was excellent and could not be faulted.

The property and staff are excellent, and will definitely call again. My only annoyance is with Expedia as when I looked for a room in Norwich centre it said this is by the cathedral, turned out to be12 miles from centre. Again excellent place and staff.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 daughter’s up seeing family, for a birthday celebration, I was only 10 minute’s drive away, location was great, the room fantastic, very clean, I have stayed in many place’s in Norfolk, oh my the bed’s I can say was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while being away, I would definitely recommend the white Pheasant, will definitely return

nice break away

We had a lovely time. Affordable, and the bedroom was clean and roomy, and the dog was welcome which was nice. Lovely ground to walk the dog on. Very friendly service too.

Lovely room with king size bed. The bathroom was lovely and plenty of towels. There was plenty of coffee and milk. Lovely and quiet with. The outside there was a pond and plenty to walk around.

Magnificent building clearly in the process of refurbbut not intrusive. Room was very nice and bed super comfortable. Only gripe was towel rail radiator in bathroom wasn't working. Will definitely stay again

A Great Discovery

Dining outside on a gorgeous terrace with a beautiful ‘tropical’ view. Plentiful tea-tray in the room. Super service with plenty of humour. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in, very good value and doing what it says ‘on the tin’. A great find.

Comfy bed, clean, hot shower and good food. The service was excellent. The new owners have a task on their hands to renovate a very old character building. Our waitress said "it's a family business, they have a plan to get the business in better shape, like using meat from their farm in the meals. That's why I like working here."

Picturesque Tudor style hotel and restaurant in rural setting was idyllic. The interior is being upgraded, with modern bathrooms. There were high quality and large servings in the restaurant. Pleasant staff rounded out the experience. We will be back!

Nice stay

Overall we had a good stay. Our room was nice although the bathroom door lock was broken. It was also quite hot in the room as there is no aircon but the staff did bring two fans in for us. The decor is a little dated but quite charming. The breakfast was really tasty and there was a good selection.
