This is a truly unique property in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We stayed in a junior suite and enjoyed the tranquility. We did have a/c in our room, along with a mini fridge and kettle. The service, food and beer were amazing. My only complaint was that the pool was not yet open for use during our stay. However, instead of spending time at the pool as planned, we drove a short distance to the charming town of Assisi. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend getaway at San Biagio and look forward to returning one day soon!

Okay but not worth the money

Service personell is very welcoming. Beautiful view. No aircondition was no problem for us. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Two single beds together does not make a double bed. Quite noisy in the night from the surroundings. The food in the restaurant is to expensive for the quality.

bella struttura ma deludente nel suo complesso

l'ex convento è molto bello ma i servizi sono assolutamente inesistenti e la gestione primitiva. Nel rispetto della filosofia di tranquillità posso condividere l'inesistenza di una televisione ma non di un frigorifero con una bottiglia d'acqua in camera (ma anche solo della bottiglia d'acqua) visto che non esiste un servizio bar ne' una reception sempre attiva. Insomma assolutamente insoddisfacente nell'essenzialità. La SPA non è male ma anch'essa con una gestione in linea con il resto seppur la persona che ha effettuato i massaggi era brava. Peccato. Nelle mani di qualcuno competente potrebbe davvero essere un paradiso

Unique Umbria experience

We needed a hotel close to a family member's rural home, and this one was a good choice. The building was originally a monastery (built in 1333), and it has been exquisitely renovated. The setting is beautiful and the view from our room was a panorama of the countryside. Not much is happening near the hotel, which is perfect if you want a quiet place in the country. The last part of the journey to the hotel (less than a mile) is a dirt road, so getting there in the winter would likely be difficult. Otherwise it was very manageable. We did not have the opportunity to use the spa facilities, but they looked great. There is also a lap pool with a beautiful view. We ate in the hotel dining room one night, and the meal was good. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
