Hotel Villa La Malouine is a charming, old Russian villa. It's perfect for people who are looking for a place with character and a nice rest. The location is peaceful since the hotel is surrounded by a lovely garden. The owner is also charming, helpful, shared good tips, and speaks absolutely perfect English. La Malouine is located near the port with its restaurants (and a little kiosque that sells the best pan baignat in town), and not too far away from place Garibaldi and the old town. Buses drive by and take to the best beach (sand, not pebbles!) nearby in Villefranche.

Villa La Malouine is in a quiet area near the old port of Nice. The room was clean and quiet. The bathroom had recently been remodeled and more than met standards of 4 star hotel. The host was very good. We had a few issues... the Wifi did not function during our stay. Note also there is no AC.. and the night we stayed we had to leave the windows open as it 24C over night. Highly recommend a local restaurant Les Amoureux ... one of the best pizzas I have had in 3 years, truffle cheese.

J’ai choisi une chambre double supérieure sur la foi des photos du site (grande chambre, coin séjour, coin salon). À l’arrivee, chambre minuscule, aucun séjour ni salon, salle de bain de 3 m2 sans ventilation mécanique avec « aération » donnant dans la chambre, très agréable quand on utilise les toilettes. Réponse de l’hotelier quand j’exprime mon insatisfaction: toutes les chambres sont différentes, vous n’aviez qu’à téléphoner pour dire ce que vous vouliez. Un endroit à éviter

En retrait du bruit cet hôtel au calme offre un stationnement gratuit et un accès à pied au port et à la vieille ville Très bonne adresse a retenir

Chambre : Un climatiseur qui brasse de l'air ne sert à rien. Aucune performance de cet appareil. Je trouve que le responsable de l'établissement devrait mieux contrôler son personnel. Le carrelage de la douche avait des grandes traînées blanches de produit sur un carrelage noir... impossible de ne pas voir... La vaisselle au petit déjeuner n'était pas très propre. Il a fallu renvoyer quelques tasses/services qui étaient douteux. Si le lave-vaisselle n'a pas fait son travail convenablement il ne faut pas l'accuser car c'est à l'être humain de vérifier que ce qui en sort soit propre... et si les performances de la machine ne sont plus bonnes il y a lieu de réagir. Parking: peu de place pour manœuvrer mais content d'avoir une place. Sinon, l'endroit sympa, calme et près du port.

Just what I hoped for!

Lovely! Stayed with my boyfriend here for one night, had room 7 with a balcony, view of the driveway but better than no view at at, could see the ocean if we looked right. The owner was a friendly gentleman, provided us with everything we needed, could purchase drinks with an honestly box 24hrs and breakfast was simple but very nice. Bed was comfy, fan in the room was a saviour! The decor was in keeping with the style of the building, the shower was nice and powerful however this did leave the floor a little wet! Would 100% recommend and stay again, felt homely and friendly! Very happy.

Schönes Zimmer, der geringe Aufpreis hat sich gelo

Wir blieben nur zwei Nächte, war nicht genug für Nizza. Man konnte vom Hotel das Zentrum der Stadt problemlos fußläufig erreichen. Zimmer oldschool, jedoch schön hell und sauber.

A small place (only like 10 rooms) with English speaking staff, on the other side of the port of Nice from the main town. Very walkable, comfortable, and friendly.

Dejlig nærhed til den gamle bydel i Nice.

Villa La Malouine ligger dejligt tæt på havn og den gamle bydel. Værten Nicolas er super imødekommende og følger med i hvordan gæsterne har det. Meget hyggelig fyr. Hotellet er gammelt og det ville højne standarden hvis selve entreforhold og gangarealer fik en overhaling, men ellers et hyggeligt sted at tilbringe nogle dage i Nice.

Mysigt boende med personlig service och omtanke

Vi bokade med kort varsel det sista och minsta rummet på hotellet. I minsta laget för två personer men att döma av övriga rum vi såg kan man bo väldigt bra och mysigt här. Utmärkt, personlig och tillmötesgående service. Tillträde till rummet ordnades smidigt trots att receptionen hade sin ordinarie eftermiddagsstängning när vi kom. Bra läge nära hamnen och bussförbindelser till både centrala Nice och utflyktsorter österut.

Old fashioned

This is an old boutique hotel, with some character. It could use a new hall carpet. Amenities are basic. It's on a busy street a 15 million minute walk from the old port or 25 minutes to the old town. The attentive and friendly manner of the proprietor left me with a warm feeling. And it's relatively inexpensive.

Tämä boheemi ja hieman erilainen hotelli oli sympaattinen kokemus. Perusranskalainen aamukahvi patiolla oli mukava ja nukuimme ikkuna auki rinteeseen, jossa satakieli herätti meidät aamulla. Ikkunoista on hieno näköala merelle ja vanhaan kaupunkiin ja lahdelle. Mutta hinta on hieman korkea, koska hotelli on kaikesta huolimatta hieman syrjässä (ei ylivoimainen hyväjalkaiselle) ja huoneet ovat siistit, mutta vaatimattomat. Asumista eivät haitanneet käytävien imuroimattomat kokolattiamatot, mutta tuleehan siitä vähän nuhruinen yleisvaikutelma.Mutta nukuimme tosi hyvin, kun yöllä tuli syyskuun viileää ilmaa ikkunasta.

Perfect!

Perfect! Had a small room on this trip, (larger ones' available), which was very pleasant with views over the garden towards the sea. Great breakfast. Very quiet location considering the proximity of the main road. On main bus route. No hesitation in returning - great hosts made us very welcome indeed.

Helt greit!

Gammelt og slitt! Badet er knøtt lite og ufyselig. Utdatert! Hotellet eksisterer kun på desperate turister som ikke finner noe bedre(som oss!)

Vi kom fram før kl. 2100 om kvelden. Dette var annonsert. Det var lagt nøkkel til oss i resepsjonen, men det var mørkt der, ingen til stades for å informera oss om hotellet eller til å evnt. hjelpa med bagasjen som vi måtte bera opp 5 etasjer då det ikkje er heis i bygningen. Lukt av støv og innestengt. Dei teppebelagde trappene hadde trengt støvsuging. Litt langt å gå att og fram frå sentrum i varmen, men for nær til at det var busssamband if. ein av innehavarane. Fin uteplass bak hotellet som burde vore meir fokusert på.
