Yes clean room and staff obliging. Didn't see them in person but replied both to phone calls and texts with good information for me
Awesome stay, staff were lovely and the food and coffee was excellent. Only observation is that people were a bit inconsiderate with how they parked their vehicles
Rooms were very clean and ensuite we only stayed 1 night as a stop over and would use again, a large communal kitchen and tv room even though there were tvs in the rooms, very quiet and relaxung

This is basically a hostel, even the private room felt like that. No amenities in the room or bathroom, or even a place to set shampoo in the shower. I also had confusing communication about how to get in after 7:00.
That said, the people were nice, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was handy (especially since all I could get for dinner was frozen cottage pie at the shop, which closes at 8:00!).
All in all, an “okay” experience.
A fabulous place to stay. Creetown is beautiful and the accommodation is friendly, safe, and spotlessly clean, as well as being very comfortable. It is also fantastic value. With a very comfy bed, great shower, free tea and coffee and a TV in the bedroom, this was a superb place in which to stay and unwind after a long day's travel. The manager is a lovely gentleman and was very helpful. I will look forward to staying here again soon

It was straight forward after signing in after hours they sent me detailed message that was easy to follow. The room was clean and polite staff
Place is immaculate. Manager very helpful and pleasant.
Great budget room with en-suite.
Plenty of parking at back next to entrance.
Was very quiet apart from a large family that arrived and seemed to be up and down stairs for about an hour.
Having said that total peace and quiet throughout the night.
Had a great nights sleep.
Would definitely stay again!

Well the place and location are excellent, spotless but on a down some people are not very considerate and choose to make as much noise as they want doesn’t matter what time of the day it is
Lovely place to stay for the price, staff are excellent and very friendly and the room was comfortable enough for the price point with a good shower (temperature and water pressure), however, there was a smell of dog to the room (which we did not raise with the staff as the accommodation is pet friendly), and unfortunately due to the sensitive fire alarms we could do anything about this (aerosols would have set off the alarm). Bathroom had some mould around the shower door, and on the ceiling (painted over) due to the underpowered extractor fan and inability to naturally ventilate due to the sensitive fire alarm.
Radiator was quite small to the size of the room, due to the cold weather it was pretty cold at times but extra duvets were available to us.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay again but you need to be accepting and aware of the price point, and the budget nature of the accommodation.
I didn't know what to expect as this is a hostel and was only using it as the B&B I normally use was full. However, I was so impressed I will stay again. I had a double room en-suite with fabulous Wifi and an excellent shower. Everything was super clean and the bed was comfy. The communal kitchens have free tea/coffee, microwave, kettle and fridge/freezer. You provide milk and your own food. Most guests left some food for others to use...I had some free Weetabix. The guests I met were all holidaymakers travelling about Scotland. Check in was handled well as nobody was there when I arrived. But I had been called some hours earlier and was texted the entry code for the lock and told which room, they room key was in the door. Everything was as described and it was simple checking in and out the next day. I was also told that the local restaurant wasn't open that day and too bring food or be prepared to drive, not a problem if you know in advance. Also Scotland's cheapest petrol and diesel station is in Creetown.
I was very impressed on what was available so cheaply and now question why I pay so much more just to have someone cook me my breakfast. I have Barholm Accommodation earmarked for more trips to this part of Scotland. Reccommended.
It's a simple, but clean and comfortable place to stay. Easy to find, ample parking, lovely area to walk around. Jenny and Penny were so friendly - I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Thank you, Barholm Accommodation!
Third time for me. Keep coming back because of the location, the friendly staff, the comfy rooms. They have done some upgrades this year with a bigger kitchen and better eating area. Love the Gem Rock Museum nearby.
Great stress free stay. First class for the money. Suited our needs ideally as wanted a cheap base before our outdoor adventures! First class! Thank you
Spent a night in this former pub and was really impressed with the standard of facilities and cleanliness. Arrived a little late so had to arrange with reception lady entry to the site.
Lady was very helpful and friendly. Stayed in a two bed room and was fortunate to have it all to myself.
The gentleman at the front desk named Panny was very helpful. There are steep and circular stairs that Panny was willing to carry our luggage up and down. He also gave us a ride to the Gem and Rock museum (a hidden “gem” in a small town called Creetown, Scotland). He helped us locate the bus stop and what time the bus would be there and gave us a ride to the bus stop. Panny was very generous with his time and energy and much appreciated.
