I had excellent communication with our owner throughout the booking and stay process. The cabin was extremely quaint and clean. I love that the owner left out plenty of throws, as blankets are my weakness

2nd time staying & would stay again

Comfortably met needs both times; Used kitchen more 2nd time and had what we needed! Minor recommendations to freshen bakingware & replace the blind downstairs twin-beds in one bedroom would offer more flexibility bike sleeping arrangements for siblings or non family guests

Perfect mountain getaway

We spent three nights in this comfy, cozy cabin. We had everything we needed! The snow is what we were after, so the beautiful views and surrounding neighborhood provided even more than we hoped for on the easy drive up and down the mountain.

Great location lots of nature

We went up for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time at this charming cabin. We actually saw live turkeys on Thanksgiving day, which was a lot of fun and lots of deer. It was very peaceful and cozy.

It was ok not the cleanest mold in bathroom spider webs in lamps and corners behind couch roof leak

House was not as clean as we thought when we had to pay a cleaning fee as everyone does, mold in bathroom ceiling living room ceiling fan not working. Up keep of house was not as expected but then again it’s an older home. The appliances were great and tv worked well

NICE SPOT!

Beautiful area! Parking is a challenge at best. House is great but no a/c in back bedroom is a problem when it gets hot outside. Also can’t open window. Otherwise would give it a 5 star! Pool room is great! Very clean, nicely furnished.

Orientation at Lee's McRae

This is a Gem! It is an older house, but it was perfect for my husband and myself. I made breakfast each morning and explored Banner Elk and the surrounding communities. The front and back porch were used to enjoy the night coolness. The cleaner for this house is better than any other rental we have stayed in. With Traveling softball that has been a Lot. Plenty of everything you might need. Even 2 thermal cups for coffee which we used each day. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay!

Beautifully relaxing with everything of need

My grad daughter and I enjoyed our stay, also we had an awesome time with the unexpected snow. We haven’t seen snow in a very long time.. Also the cabin had everything needed such as dishes, utensils, games, comfy beds and phone chargers….

Perfect spot for quick get-a-way

This is fantastic place to stay for a family and spend some quality time together. Nicely located just outside of town, close to many attractions and restaurants. Kitchen items were sufficient and clean, bedrooms and linen were clean. Game room offers pool table, which kept our kid engaged, when we were not outside. The host is super responsive to all the questions. I will highly recommend this property and will definitely visit again.

Cozy Cabin

We had a lovely stay at the cabin. It is a great location and close to everything. We enjoyed the alpine coaster and hiking and driving around all the cool mountain cities. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and I appreciate all the smart TV's. The downstairs was great for a game of pool. Thank you for a great weekend gettaway!

We had an amazing time at the cabin and it was located near all of our planned activities on the mountains near by. We would definitely stay here again and the host was so kind and responded quickly when I asked a question.

Absolutely will rent again!!

We came to this rental for my daughter's 10th birthday. She absolutely loved the game room. Nothing my daughter loves more than game night with a movie! The place was clean and had everything you could need. It was even decorated for Christmas! I loved the little notes left to tell you how to leave the cabin. We will absolutely rent again.

Quick Get-away

We enjoyed the cabin. It was close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed sitting outdoors by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows. Slept well in my bed. Cute cabins touches!

Nice place

Nice house, quiet area. Owner was very responsive to questions and easy to communicate with. The only thing i would suggest is doing something with the driveway, it is a little tricky parking and getting out especially in a larger vehicle

Anniversary getaway

Loved the cute cabin. Well decorated and furnished with what we needed. Comfortable bed and good shower. Nice that it has a pool table and extra bathroom downstairs. Parking could be better but overall great place!

Just what we needed!

I found the cabin cozy & charming. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. The furniture was comfy. There’s a game room down stairs, although we didn’t have time to use it. The location is very convenient to popular hiking, towns, and attractions (Blowing Rock, Alpine coaster, Grandfather Mountain, zip lining, etc.). There’s a decent grocery store close by. We enjoyed the fenced porch. I also appreciated knowing my dogs were not going to take after wildlife as we sat out there each night. The sound of the birds, the wind chime and the stream were a bonus to the fresh mountain air & no mosquitoes. You can hear traffic on the road. The only downs, there aren’t a lot of outlets and the driveway was a challenge, no matter how many times we went in & out. Our one dog can’t do stairs so the yard wasn’t an option for her. It was really steep if you don’t go out the down stairs entrance. Fortunately we could walk her along the road safely from the main entrance. I recommend bringing a flash light if you are dog walking. I was glad we brought one. The front of the property is well lit at night and you’ll need a light if you stray away at night to pet walk. Overall we enjoyed our time here.

The host was great. The cabin was wonderful. The most disliked was the driveway. Needs some serious work done in this area. Need to get owners mailing address to return a spoon that we found in our belongings, that was picked up by mistake. Would stay there again if the driveway is improved.
