The biggest disappointment of my stay was being charged $10 extra per night for a crib. My wife and I have stayed in nearly 300 hotels since being married, and not once have we ever been charged for a crib—especially when it was a medical necessity for our daughter. I explained this to the staff, but the fee was still applied. This was frustrating and left a very negative impression, to the point where I’ll likely avoid Sleep Inn properties in the future.
Aside from that, the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always a priority for me, and the beds were fairly comfortable. I also appreciated seeing staff consistently vacuuming, mopping, and tidying the property—it showed they take cleanliness seriously.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk and changed daily, which I liked since it wasn’t just the same options on repeat. Free hot chocolate, tea, and coffee around the clock was another thoughtful touch. I also liked the convenience of having shampoo and conditioner dispensers right in the shower, though I think adding body wash would make it even better.
On the downside, the pillows weren’t the most comfortable, and the garbage cans in the room were quite small for a family—though that’s common in many hotels. Another frustration was that only one elevator was in service, and it always took a very long time unless you happened to catch it just as someone was getting in or out.
