Worst VRBO experience of my life
Nightmare - do not stay here! Organized a stay for my daughter‘s graduation from Barnard. Host never gave us the address for the location and never contacted us to get us the keys.We had to have VRBO cancel the reservation after they were unable to contact the host themselves.We were told we would have someone contact us between 3:00 and 3:15 in the afternoon and we never heard from anyoneWe had zero missed calls, voicemail messages, emails, texts, or VRBO inbox messages from anyone connected to the property. Had to drive 100 miles home that evening because we had nowhere to stay.They later sent an inbox text to us and said they tried to call which is not true and I provided my call logs to VRBO to prove it. I believe this is an illegal short term rental if not a scam altogether. Save yourself the grief and book elsewhere. The host statistics tell you everything you need to know- response rate of 56%, and an average of 49 hours for every response. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable I am a vacation rental superhost and respond to everyone within a few hours always and would never leave an incoming guest hanging for check-in. Arrival information should be sent days ahead of time if not a week - even if they had followed through sending information minutes before check-in is crazy terrible practice. Proceed at your own peril.
