Hi Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Standard, High Line! Indeed our neighborhood and room layouts are a bit alternative when compared to other hotels; but, we like to consider it to be part of all the fun. Some of our rooms come with the layout that you have described but we do have other categories, such as our Deluxe King ADA which features a private restroom that is separate from the bathing area. This is one my favorite room categories as it feels more spacious and provides more privacy than our other room types. Upon investigation, we discovered that you opted out of providing us with a CC to check into your second reservation with us. This a hotel policy that we expect all of our guests to adhere to when booking reservations back to back via different booking engines. I am sorry if this was not properly communicated to you and I promise you that we have spoken to the team members involved.
